Thanksgiving Menu

Today I’m participating in a Thanksgiving Menu link up with some other bloggers. Honestly I feel like we all kind of eat the same thing that day, don’t we?! Too much of everything lol this picture below describes it perfectly I think!

I’m going to share a couple of things that are my favorites at Thanksgiving! First up is my mom’s creamed corn. It’s my absolute favorite!! Whenever I go somewhere & take a serving, I am always disappointed because my mom’s is just the best! You can check out that recipe here.

My other favorite thing to have is my Grandma’s Homemade Noodles. We always cook them in chicken broth & serve over mashed potatoes. Of course The Pioneer Woman’s mashed potato recipe is the very best because it’s FULL of butter & cream cheese. So much goodness!

Now let me say that I loved my Grandma’s noodles even more after helping her make them a couple years ago. Wow, what a big job that is! Sharing some pics describing the process below.

Wow, my sister looks like a baby here! Now she is a freshman in college & we are so excited that she will be home for a long Thanksgiving break.

Adding in a few cute outfits that would work well for Thanksgivng as well! Especially if you are looking for a more comfy look!

The last thing I want to talk about is my mom’s thankful leaves. This is definitely not related to food, but it’s one of my favorite Thanksgiving traditions. Every year, starting November first, my mom hangs up a sign on the door in her dining room that says WE ARE THANKFUL. Every day until Thanksgiving, every person that lives in her house writes on a leaf & hangs it on the door. They also invite every person who enters their house to do one every time they’re there. This includes when my siblings & I drop by, when my sister has friends over, & even when my mom hosts book club. By the end of the month, her door is full of blessings! It’s such a cool idea & I love it! Below is what it looks like today & by Thanksgiving that door will be FULL!
