Bachelorette Recap (Episode 6)
I don't have much to say going into this episode so let's just get started, shall we?
group date -- grown a$$ man challenge...
First of all, I'm a big Ashley & Jarred fan!
HOWEVER ...
... his hair is absolutely positively NASTY.
Hearing about the challenges in this date sound like it was absolutely MADE for Bennet ... except he kind of sucked it up, but somehow still won??? The running tug-of-war to get to the bouquet honestly looks like it hurts -- like that has to be so much pressure on your gut! & of course Bennet would pass on it. Who wants someone that's going to sit out on something like this? Like at least put in a little bit of effort. This is a grown a$$ man challenge, is it not? So grow your a$$ up, Bennet! (Can you tell I don't really like him??) But Tayshia calling him out on his boujie-ness (& owning her own) was amazing! & I actually loled when Ed received the man child award. He doesn't even know how to hold a baby! I'm annoyed on behalf of everyone that Bennet won & I truly can not believe (except that I can & I'm kind of not even surprised) that he wore his robe to the evening portion of the date, too. He's too much. I also loled at Chasen telling Bennet that his kiss with Tayshia was cringey (because I agreed)!
The blindfold thing with Ivan was strange & bothered me, but you could tell that he was trying really hard to be romantic so I'll give him that I suppose.
I really don't like all of this guy drama with Chasen & Ed. If I could tell them anything, it would be this: :Quite frankly, neither of you are acting like grown a$$ men. Knock it off. *dramatic eye roll here* & just a heads up, I'm not sure if there's ever been a guy that's been picked in the end that was super involved in all of the drama (except off of the top of my head Jordan Rogers comes to mind because I think I remember him being a drama boy too & he "won" Jojo). Regardless, move on."
Ben said that for him, a grown a$$ man is kind, humble, & protective of people who can't protect themselves. Yes boi!!! Mic drop. I'm starting to really like him. He's definitely one that's been growing on me.
Also, yay for Ivan for the group date rose -- I'm happy for him!
cocktail party...
I feel like in the beginning of the show Chasen seemed pretty quiet & almost like shy? Like he kind of seemed like the underdog, but he's definitely not acting that way now. I'm not a big fan of the "new" (or I guess possibly the "real") Chasen. I have to agree with Bennet that I feel a little bit bad for him because he's self sabotaging. It makes me sad for him because he was kind of intriguing to me in the beginning & now I'm just very much not interested. Sometimes this show brings out the worst in people & that seems to be happening with Chasen (& Ed).
Demar's poem was GREAT! He seems like a bit of an underdog too for some reason & I'm officially rooting for him.
Ed. Dude. Don't bring up Chasen again. Just let it go. & stop blowing things out of proportion ... Chasen was not about to punch you. Please listen to Zac C. -- move on & bury this whole thing.
I'm honestly pretty surprised that she kept both of them instead of sending them home... I respect her trying to trust her instincts, but yikes, I'm just not sure if it's worth it.
I don't really like that Chasen keeps calling her a smoke show. Like for me personally that just wouldn't be a word I'd like to be described as. I'd rather be complimented on my personality or like my character. & I feel like Tayshia would be the same way. I mean of course it's nice to be told that you're attractive, but that's literally all he talks about. I just feel like he's kind of a meatball. Ex: taking his shirt off & only wearing an apron during the grown a$$ man group date.
group date -- wrestling match...
In general, I'm not a big fan of physical dates like this just because I feel like it always turns violent. I appreciate Brendan & Joe being funny about it all because obviously they're not the strongest or biggest guys on the date. Using humor is attractive & Tayshia definitely likes that!
I can't with Joe's ponytail lol. No, just no.
Brendan is absolutely previous!! ... but the poor guy got slammed lol still love him though! Especially from his response, "it was fun, but I still got my a$$ kicked" lolol which is unfortunately true!
I legit gasped at Spencer & Ben's fight ugh this is just so scary!!! & I actually think it's a good thing that Ed took himself out of the game when Chris Harrison announced that he would be wrestling Chasen. I mean honestly, it's just not smart for these two guys to fight each other. However, I wish he would've just manned up & owned it. Instead he made up some fake "old shoulder injury" story that is clearly fake because he's ripped! It just makes no sense. & Noah talking about "Ed's shoulder injuries & big toe injuries" was absolutely spot on!
evening portion...
OMG BRENDAN & TAYSHIA YES!!! Tayshia interrupting him in the middle of his sentence to kiss him was precious. He's just such a sweet guy!
I was ROLLING listening to Noah talk about shaving off his stache. He referred to it as his secret power & was worried that he was going to have a baby face when it's gone & I gotta tell ya ... he totally does! But Tayshia telling him that he's kinda hot without his stache was hilarious because he was all "well what was I before?!" So so funny!

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with this episode. It felt like it was just all about the drama which, quite frankly, I was done with after about two minutes. But things did end on a good note at least! Brendan. Lol. The ending scenes where he & Tayshia rode fake horses was absolutely amazing! I seriously LOVE him!
But here's the main question of the evening...
