what I've been up to...

My mom has always been really big on traditions & even though us kids are growing up, we still like to do all of the things we did when we were kids which means I made a special trip to their house to dye Easter eggs!

We made some really pretty ones this year! We were super impressed with ourselves.

I spent the night & we had homemade donuts in the air fryer for breakfast. They are always super delicious! My dad is a pro. Recipe coming soon!

outfits of the week…

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

Friday…

No school on Friday so I went to my parent’s house to dye eggs! My crew & shorts are both from Target.

Saturday…

Got a pedicure with my sisters & just hung out all day.

Sunday…

Easter Sunday outfit! It was super chilly so I had to wear a denim jacket

Monday...

No school means sleeping in, doing a late morning workout & staying in my comfies all day!

Tuesday...

Comfy & casual outfit for Tuesday since I worked the high school track meet right after school.

Wednesday...

My t-shirt is from The Rustic Mare Boutique — I got it on my sister spring break trip when we drove through Oklahoma City & did some shopping at the outlets on our way home.

I get questions about these heels every time I wear them so I figured I should share them again! I got them last spring for my masters graduation ceremony, so I’ve had them for almost a year. I love the wavy detailing because it makes them so unique. The heel isn’t too tall, but it’s also enough that I actually feel like I’m wearing something. They’re SO comfy & feel great on my feet! I’ve worn them SO many times throughout the year & am always surprised by how great my feet feel when I take them off. I would say they run a little bit small. They have a bunch of other color options that I’ll definitely take advantage of if I ever need them. They’re super affordable too which I love. It doesn’t get any better than these!

Target mini haul comin’ your way!

I absolutely love this bright purple color for spring & summer workout gear! This tank is a small & I would say it fits more like a medium (so an oversized fit). It’s kind of a cotton-y material, so I’m sure it will show sweat, but it is pretty lightweight. I got the white color of this sports bra that I’ve loved for over a year now. & these shorts are the draw cord ones I’ve been obsessed with lately — wearing a medium & fit true to size.

I saw these shoes & immediately wanted them. Then, as I was shopping around, I saw this activewear long sleeve & knew it was meant to be because it matches the shoes perfectly lol! Both the shoes & the top come in other color options, but I thought this blue was so cute & I don’t have hardly anything these colors in my closet. The shoes fit true to size & the top is just a little bit big. I’m wearing a small & it’s supposed to be a fitted material, so I expected it to be a little bit more fitted. It does have cute thumb holes which I always love.

Y’all know I just can’t say no to another striped tee!!! Wearing a medium, fits true to size & isn’t see through at all. Comes in a bunch of other colors, but I for some reason ALWAYS go for the neutrals.

This is that same graphic tee I shared a couple of weeks ago, but I immediately thought of it when I got this purple skirt. You guys know how much I LOVE wearing encouraging graphic tees to school & Target always has the best ones!!! The message & colors of this one are just fabulous & so perfect for spring! I got a medium & would say it fits more like a small. I always size up in Target’s graphic tees because I don’t like them to be super fitted. I also shared this skort (in green) in that same post, but I loved it so much, I had to get it in another color! If you’ve been around here this whole school year, then you know that in August I became kind of obsessed with skorts. Skorts are a really big deal in the school I work at — pretty much every single female staff member wears them! I have searched sooo long to find a good quality skort that I felt comfortable in & that fits me well. Last year I bought a black one & wore it almost every week, especially on game days! I saw that Target came out with this year’s version of the skort I love, so you know I had to buy it. & now I’m going to have to get it in every color because I love it so much! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a tiny bit oversized — I usually wear a medium in most bottoms & this small fits me perfectly. It has deep pockets as well as built-in spandex shorts. My school has three flights of stairs so I’m constantly going up & down & really would like to avoid flashing my students lol so this aspect of the skort helps me to feel secure & covered!

I almost didn’t get this one for two reasons: one) I thought it was a little too much, & two) I didn’t think it would look good on my body. Wowza was I wrong! Not to toot my own horn, but I think it’s incredibly flattering!!! I absolutely love the bright color & the eyelet details on the sleeves. Between the flutter of the sleeves & the cinched / tied waistline, it is so slimming! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits true to size.
