Feel Good Friday
Happy Friday, everyone!!
what I've been up to...
I hope you all had a wonderful & safe 4th of July weekend! I very much enjoyed the down time & extra free time with my family.
Someone has been leaving the cutest little painted rocks at my parent’s sno cone shack! This is the cutest summer idea that I totally wish I would’ve thought of back when I was a nanny in the summers in high school.
outfits of the week…
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet. Since I work in a middle school, I’m officially on summer break so my OOTDs will look a little different. Trading in my pixie pants for comfy shorts!
Monday...
Monday I had morning cheer practice + caught up on all of the things at home from being gone a lot of the weekend! These shorts are old from Target & my tank is old from Aerie & neither are available anymore, but I’m linking similar options below!
Tuesday...
Spent the day running errands & spending time outside! Both my tank & my shorts are Old Navy. I don’t think this color of tank is available anymore, but I have a striped one & it’s the exact same thing & just as cute! Wearing a small in the tank & a medium in the shorts — both fit true to size.
Wednesday...
Another comfy day at home calls for shorts & a t-shirt! These light pink shorts are actually the same as the camo ones from above (I told you I love them) & my t-shirt says “yosemite” & it’s from Target.
Thursday...
Spent the morning going for a walk & relaxing at my house before heading to my parent’s town to work at their sno cone shack for the rest of the day! I’m thankful for these slow mornings & I know I will miss them a lot once school rolls back around.
& then this is what I changed into for my shift at the sno cone shack! Comfy denim shorts are from Walmart & have been a summer staple for me & my tee is from Amazon & I love wearing it to school.
In case you missed it, this week I shared the top twelve most loved items by y’all from the month of June (including this darling striped Target pj set)! You can read that post by clicking here.
friday favs...
If you’ve been around here for awhile, then you know that I love to always have my nails done. I’ve had my own shellac machine for 5+ years & I’ve built up my collection of colors, but I’m always down to try new things. I’ve seen tons of bloggers post about Red Aspen Nails — a up & coming company that sells glue-on nails, amongst other beauty products. My mom, sisters & I each bought a set for ourselves to try, & we all loved them so much that we ordered a bunch more sets — you can reuse them which is SO nice! Mine stay on for 10-15 days! I’ve been loving bright colors this spring & thought these were too cute! The color is Harper Picks Peonies Nail Dash Square. I typically keep my nails pretty short, but I’m not necessarily opposed to having them a bit longer like these. If you’re interested in getting some for yourself, you can go to my page here to order & I’ll get some commission off of it! Y’all know how much I appreciate all of your support!
This is the set I put on for the 4th of July! This color is Americana Nail Dash Square (unfortunately it looks like it’s out of stock).
I’ve got a bunch of Amazon dress finds for ya today + a few comfy pieces because it wouldn’t be a Friday favs post without them!
This first dress is white with embroidered details of red & orange. I love how bright & simple it is for summer! I got the white because I wanted to see it if was sheer or see through & it passed the test! It has a simple v neckline which I think is always flattering. I’m wearing a small & would say that it fits a little bit big, especially in the width of the dress.
Give me all the floral print dresses! I saw this one on another blogger & immediately added it to my cart. The collar & functioning buttons is so cute & feels kind of retro to me, but the cinched waistline & functioning tie help to make it even more flattering, plus the slits on the side of the dress allow you to show of your legs — go girls!!! I’m wearing a small & would say that it fits a bit oversized, so size down if you can.
I’m kind of shocked by this dress! The material is a little bit strange, it kind of feels like a tablecloth, so when I pulled it out of the bag, I was prepared to hate it. But once I put it on, the dress redeemed itself SO quickly because it’s so cute & flattering! It is tiered & has a v neckline, but it’s not too deep, which I always appreciate. The sleeves have a tiny but of ruffle so that it’s almost a cross between a t-shirt & a cap sleeve & a tank top sleeve. I just think it’s so flattering!!! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits true to size!
All time fav dress out of today’s post (& possibly even out of all of my summer 2021 dresses)!! I’m just smitten over this dress! It is so cute & dainty & flattering! I love the red print with white polkadots, plus the functioning buttons & single tier mid-thigh. The sleeves have some movement so they’re not tight at all. Overall this dress is just super comfy! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a tiny bit oversized. It does come in some other color options as well!
Matching lounge sets are my jam! This is a pricier set from Amazon & unfortunately the two pieces don’t come together, so you do have to buy them separately. It looked super cute online on the model, but once I put it on together, it honestly felt a bit much & I felt like I looked like a cow lol plus, the shorts are a totally different material than the crewneck — the shorts are thick & somewhat coarse, & the top is super thin & buttery soft. I’m wearing a medium in both pieces. I ended up keeping the crewneck & sending the shorts back. I knew it would be cute with black shorts & that type of outfit is much more my style!
I’m an introvert, like to an extreme. Since I have the summers off from school & only work at my parent’s sno cone shack a few days a week, sometimes I have to remind myself to leave my house lol I’m not even kidding! That’s a #homebody on another level, which is why this crewneck was calling my name! I grabbed it in the purple color & I’m wearing a medium — it fits true to size! It’s not like a sweatshirt material, it’s almost like a thin nice t-shirt material, so it’s pretty perfect for summer & the upcoming fall. Where are my other homebodies at?!

My sisters & dad are out of town so it’ll just be my mom & I for church & Sunday lunch. I’m sure it will feel quiet & different, but it’ll be nice to have some time with just my mama!
