Life Lately
what I've been up to...
On the bookshelf this week!
I would say Piper is pretty darn happy to be back having meetings with all of our favorite coworkers!
More sour beer tastings!
From left to right: 10/10, 10/10, 6/10, 8/10
Piper sure is tuckered out after all of our back-to-school meetings!
Ripped off my last catch-all sticky note of random thoughts & to-dos to put in my enrollment folder & look what I find underneath. Bethany is such a thoughtful sister!
That feeling you get when you’re done scheduling classes & can start the fun part of your job — being with students!!! Life of a school counselor lol bring on the kids!!
Blessed to be starting year FIVE doing a job I love!
“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” - Steve Jobs
outfits of the week...
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

what Bethany is learning...
My sister, Bethany, is currently doing the Craving Community bible study with a group of friends. She is really learning a lot & is going to share a few things each week that really stood out to her!
1. This week we weren’t able to meet up for various reasons, so I got to go through my notes to see new things that I didn’t see before! One of the things I had written down that is such a good reminder to myself is “When someone comes to your house whether they are new or not, treat them not only like a guest, but a guest of honor.” This is such a good reminder to me as school is starting and more people are coming back to town!
2. One attribute that we can display of Jesus is His desire to be with us when we are showing up for others.
3. Loyalty is the determination to be the friend that you want others to be for you. This is such a good reminder because people want to be and have friends in different ways. This is encouraging to me as I am navigating new friendships and learning more about my friendships that I have had for a while!
in case you missed it...
I read seven books in the month of July. Check out my blog post here to see my short reviews!
I created a super simple back-to-school goodie for my coworkers for our first day back to work. Check out this short post to see how I assembled this cute little gift by clicking here!
As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.
If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery. They’re “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out their post by clicking here!
Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)
I recently purged my closets & posted about it on Instagram. I had a bunch of people asking if I’d be selling those clothes, so I created a private facebook group to share them! If you’d like to be added to the group, please send your name & email & I’ll get the link sent to ya! You can either comment below if you feel comfortable, or send me an email at simplysmalltownblog@gmail.com
