Feel Good Friday
Happy Friday friends! We are having some crazy weather here in Kansas! Warm one day, cold one day, rain one day & even snow coming early next week. WHAT?!
what we've been up to...
Last Friday was my school's annual Fall Lake Day & it was every bit as fun as you could imagine! There were eight different stations so we divided the middle schoolers up into eight groups & they rotated through them throughout the day -- four in the morning, four in the afternoon, separated by a little cookout for lunch. I was at the canoeing station which was honestly kind of hilarious because I predicted I would be in the water more than the kiddos! Luckily, I never fell in. A couple of the kiddos did, but they handled it like champs! The weather was absolutely gorgeous & I even got a bit of a tan. It was honestly such a cool opportunity to be able to be goofy with the kids & show them the "fun" side of Miss Rice.
I got to meet one of my best friend's precious baby girl last weekend! Legit she could not be cuter!!!
More sunroom updates! My parents got an electric fireplace / heater & it is seriously the coolest thing -- just ask Sophie lol. Their furniture was supposed to be delivered this week, but unfortunately the truck that was bringing them broke down & only comes to their area once a week, so they'll have to wait another week to get it. What a bummer!
Look at me! Actually *cooking* something for myself!
Rachel Green from Friends is serious hair goals.
School pictures came in this week. Year 1 as a Middle School Counselor : )
Love love loving all of the falling leaves lately! Reminding myself to embrace it because soon they will all be gone & it'll be freezing cold.
I've been going on lots of walks lately to study for my CPCE (I have a huge cd set that I've been listening to -- yes, I'm that girl carrying a portable walkman's cd player lol).
In case you missed it, this week I shared my monthly random Amazon finds post! It's a huge compilation of allllll the things my family purchased on Amazon in the last month. Ya never know what you might see that you *need*! ;) (Including this darling sweater)! You can read that post here.
friday favs...
mini Amazon haul...
I love finding cute & comfy tops that I can wear to school. This quilted "quarter zip" is awesome! Instead of a zipper on the neckline, it has functional buttons instead. It fits true to size & will be a great layering piece -- striped shirts underneath, vest or denim jacket on stop. It looks super cute with leggings, too! It comes in this navy & grey color & nine others.

Y'all this is straight up probably the softest material I've ever touched in my whole life! It is really warm but also breathable so you won't get too hot. It has a nice wide neckline, but could easily be worn with a scarf or even a shirt underneath if you like the extra warmth. I would say it fits a little oversized & is somewhat of a boxy fit. Even as I'm talking about it right here, I'm still surprised that it's less than $30!

During the fall & winter months, I don't think there's anything better than a soft & cozy cardigan to keep you warm. I found this one from Amazon & it is everything I hoped it would be! Y'all it's literally SO soft & fits me like a glove (true to size). I had heard from some other influencers that it sheds, so I wore it around my house for an evening with a black tank & black leggings & to my pleasant surprise, it didn't shed AT ALL!! I haven't washed it yet, so I'm not sure if that will start happening after I wash it? I'll keep you updated! Regardless, this cozy cardigan is worth it!!

I was on the hunt for some big black sunglasses & the boujee-er (yep I just made that up), the better. These check all the boxes & are so fun! (Linking my rust orange leopard sweater here).
Have y'all seen those oversized sweatshirts from Aerie? They're super cute, but are they worth all the hype? I can't answer that because I haven't tried one, BUT this sweatshirt from Amazon is almost an exact dupe according to reviews, & for a fraction of the price! I love the length & the pattern. It fits a bit oversized, but that's definitely the style of it. Great quality for an Amazon sweatshirt!

For all of my Bachelor & Bachelorette fans, no I haven't forgotten about you! I decided to do the recaps in their own post just in case there are some of you who would prefer to read them on their own instead of mixed in with my Friday posts or vice versa, plus doing them on the weekends gives me a little bit of extra time which I’m needing this year (thank you for understanding)! Click here to read last week's episode 1 recap & tomorrow I'll share this week's recap!
