College Girl Collages
If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery! They are “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them!
My sisters & I have always shared a love of affordable fashion & beauty trends. Avery & I both love trying out new hair styles & I’m pretty sure that we’ve both had about every hair color there is lol Bethany tends to be more on the conservative side & likes easy beauty hacks to save time (a girl after my own heart)! We are always sending each other tiktoks of hair / beauty hack inspo!
Bethany will be graduating from Kansas State University in May with her Bachelors in Human Development & Family Science. She is planning on continuing on to get her Masters in Couples & Family Therapy. With Bethany getting her degree in a helping profession, I’m sure you can imagine it gives the two of us SO MUCH to talk about — theories, analyzing people, etc. lol! She currently lives in her sorority house, Kappa Delta, & absolutely loves it! She loves random drives with her sisters in KD, Starbucks runs & spending time with Jesus!
Avery is a freshman at Kansas State University (go cats!!!) She’s majoring in athletic training & minoring in pre physical therapy. She gets up early to go work out at the rec, but then goes back to sleep until the very last minute before class (she calls it balance lol). She spends way too much time on tiktok & is easily influenced. When she’s not on tiktok, she’s spending time with her roommates or her sisters in Alpha Delta Pi! My family often calls her the queen of positivity because she usually sees the best in people & situations. Her two favorite things are Jesus & ice cream!
a quick note from the Avery...
Hey friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! With my summer schedule coming out this week, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share a little bit about what I do in the summer! I work for an Educational Travel Company called World Classrooms. It is seriously the coolest thing I’ve ever been apart of! My position is called a CEO, “Chief Experience Officer,” so you can think of me as a traveling camp counselor! Basically what I do is lead school groups through Washington DC on a four day trip. Last summer I got lucky with a trip to New York as well, so fingers crossed for this summer too! However, DC has grown to be one of my favorite places in the world. How a typical trip starts for me is driving to whatever middle or high school I’m taking to DC. It could be a short 20 minutes drive to the school, or in my experience, a 9 hour drive to west Texas. Because we don’t want to waste a single second in DC, we try to fly out really early so we can hit the ground running in DC and have the whole day for adventures. I get to take the travelers to all the stop throughout out four days together, a Capital tour, the Holocaust Memorial Museum, and tons of incredible monuments/memorials, FDR, MLK, Jefferson, Lincoln, Washington, Vietnam Wall, the Korean War Memorial, and the Iwo Jima Memorial. Some of the bigger stops would be Old Town Alexandria (the town George Washington grew up in, Mount Vernon (where George Washington lived and is buried), Arlington National Cemetery (my all time favorite place), and we get a battlefield tour of Gettysburg. The trips are clearly jam packed, but it’s amazing to experience. I have now been to DC 9 times, 8 in the last year! It’s one of my favorite places in the world and I’m so excited to share more of it with you this summer! Here’s a few pics from this spring break when I went out there on the training trip for the new CEO’s! I plan on highlighting a different stop or two on each trip and sharing my favorite fun facts about them, so if there’s ever a specific location you want to see, let me know! PSA: The cherry blossom trees only bloom in March, so spring break is the time to go if that’s a bucket list item for you!
