College Girl Collages
If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my youngest sister, Avery. She’s a “poor college student” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring her on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them!
Avery & I have always shared a love of affordable fashion & beauty trends. We both love trying out new hair styles & I’m pretty sure that we’ve both had about every hair color there is lol we’re always sending each other tiktoks of new hairstyles to try + easy beauty hacks.
Avery is a freshman at Kansas State University (go cats!!!) She’s majoring in athletic training & minoring in pre physical therapy. She gets up early to go work out at the rec, but then goes back to sleep until the very last minute before class (she calls it balance lol). She spends way too much time on tiktok & is easily influenced. When she’s not on tiktok, she’s spending time with her roommates or her sisters in Alpha Delta Pi! My family often calls her the queen of positivity because she usually sees the best in people & situations. Her two favorite things are Jesus & ice cream!
a quick note from Avery...
Hey friends! It’s December and as excited as I am for the holidays, I’m really trying to bask in the small amount of time I have left in my college town before break! This means lots of sonic runs, late night chats, basketball games, and quality time with friends! Unfortunately it’s dead week so that also means lots of studying and stress (if you took chemistry in college you know what I mean).
I’m super thankful for the way these last few weeks after Thanksgiving break have gone! The truth is, being a freshman is really hard and people don’t talk about that enough. When I got home for the last break I was pretty much ready to never go back. Being in a new stage of life is a lot to go through especially when you’re not expecting it to feel hard. I’ve been ready to go to college since Alli was a freshman at K-State, for a little perspective, I was in 5th grade! Then I got here and I missed my friends, school felt harder than it ever had, I didn’t have my cat with me, and it all felt like too much! I was pretty much ready to ask my high school principal if I could go back. But being home was also a reminder of how many people in my life want the best for me! I got some great advice and got all my prayer warriors on it! And they delivered! I continue to feel loved as I see so many prayers in my life getting answered! My friendships are growing, my academics feel back on track, and I am feeling closer to Jesus everyday!
While I have so many people working in my favor, I still have been working to keep myself accountable too! I wanted my friendships to grow, so I quit waiting for an invite, and I made plans myself. I wanted to feel better about my academics so I reached out and have a potential opportunity to shadow a physical therapist and remember my “why.” I wanted to feel a deeper connection to Jesus so I picked up my bible. This is the perfect time for that too! It’s December which means that Luke is the perfect book to read! There are Christmas trees everywhere, and my mom keeps asking me for my Christmas List, and it’s really easy to only think about the real meaning on Christmas during the Christmas Eve service. But Luke has 24 chapters, which means a reminder everyday until Christmas what we are celebrating! And it’s not too late to join! It has been a very nice constant in my life during this stressful week!
I appreciate any prayers over my finals! Thanks for joining me this week! I promise eventually I’ll remember to be a better picture taker!
