Pretty in Pink

As girls, we grow up with the stereotype that we're supposed to be "girly girls" & like the color pink & barbies & do girly things, etc. As an adolescent-adult woman, being "pretty in pink" looks a little different than our toddler years. Keep reading to see how we incorporated some pink back into our lives.

simplicity is key...

When wearing such a bold color, simplicity becomes very important. Here, Avery is wearing one pink piece of clothing, & keeping the other pieces of her outfit very simple by wearing a plain t-shirt & a cardigan. In pictures 1 & 3 (left & right), she pairs pink pants with a plain white t-shirt & either a black cardigan or a grey cardigan. In both pictures, she's wearing grey booties. In the middle picture, Avery is wearing a pair of cinched waist jeans with a plain black tee & a very soft pink cardigan from Target. All of these outfits are simple, but cute in their own way.

relaxed...

Above are two very casual & relaxed outfits. Both include a pair of comfortable leggings & shoes, in this case, Bethany chose her black Steve Maddens. The left picture features a thin bright pink crewneck long sleeve shirt. This shirt has pockets on each side & could be worn as part of your workout attire, or simply hanging out or running errands. The right picture features a white & grey striped pocket tee & a soft & chunky light pink cardigan. The mixture of patterns works well together. What can I say? I love me a good stripes + a cardigan outfit.

ready to go...

These two outfits are a little bit more put together & ready to go on a day when you need to look nice, but don't feel like putting too much effort in. Okay wait. That's me everyday.

Anyways, on the left, Avery is wearing bright pink pants with a grey speckled turtle neck & grey booties. When we first got this turtle neck, we couldn't tell exactly what color it was. Based on what you're wearing it with, it can kind of look different. With regular denim jeans, it has a blue tent. With green jeans, it has a green tent.

On the right, Avery paired some muted pink corduroy pants with a cream sweater & camel side cutout flats. This outfit is so darling & so easy going at the same time. You'll be comfortable while still looking cute.
