Feel Good Friday
TGIF!!! & happy first day of April!
what I've been up to...
The 8th grade class is working really hard to make sure that I miss them next year… & it’s working! Especially on 8th grade enrollment night. What sweet kids!
Gosh trying on cute clothes is so exhausting ya know? ;)
outfits of the week…
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.
Friday…
I had to pull out my “you can do hard things” t-shirt for cheer tryouts on Friday!
Saturday…
Went to a casual dinner with some girlfriends on Saturday evening. It was so nice to catch up & get my cup filled!
Sunday…
Church & errands outfit!
Monday...
I don’t know about anybody else, but I was absolutely dragging on Monday morning. My cardigan & t-shirt are no longer in stock, so I linked some similar ones.
Monday evening’s workout attire. Absolutely obsessed with these Target shorts!
Tuesday...
Another day, another Callie Danielle t-shirt!
& here’s my little workout outfit! I actually slept in these clothes & wore them again Wednesday morning lol kind of gross, but helped get me out of bed because I didn’t have to change.
Wednesday...
It’s cold & stormy today (my FAV kind of weather) so I’m all cozied up! My sweater is old from Aerie, but I’m linking similar options below.
Thursday...
Morning workout outfit!
Super cozy OOTD since we got a bunch of snow! What the heck! Even though I love snow, this is a super twisted April Fools joke!
in case you missed it...
On Monday I shared a quick post on a cute classroom guidance activity I did with my students. Any excuse to have hot chocolate is a good excuse! You can click here to read that post.
My mom was a little under the weather this week & since she’s mostly in charge of our weekly sales posts, we decided to take the week off & not stress about it. We appreciate that you all understand that we’re just normal people with full time jobs that take priority! We’ll start back up again next week though!
friday favs...
Y’all know I’ve loved my loopy phone cases forever! All of my family members + a lot of my friends love their loopy cases too. It’s extremely comfortable & helpful for a girl on-the-go. The rubber loop is easily adjustable & really feels good on my knuckles while I’m holding my phone. It’s also really nice to be able to slip one finger through when trying to carry all of the groceries into the house, because let’s be real, I’m a one trip kind of girl… even if it makes me lose feelings in my arms lol. I just got two new ones for spring & summer & they’re too cute not to share! The sage green color is so crisp & clean looking with the white loop. I’ve become a huge fan of this color lately & I think it’ll look great in the fall too. & of course, my fav of the two is the spring meadow pattern. Like honestly, does it get any cuter or more perfect for spring & summer?! I think not. Now here’s the biggest bummer… the spring meadow pattern is currently sold out. BUT! If y’all love it as much as I do, you can select to be notified when it’s back in stock & if enough of you sign up for that, I bet they’ll bring it back! You can use my code (SMALLTOWN10) for 10% off a loopy case! These have been great gift ideas for my family in the past! Click here to be taken to their site.
Now it’s time for a Target haul!
Who doesn’t love a good midi t-shirt dress?! This one is from Target & it is WONDERFUL! A couple of weeks ago I shared it in white & had to go back to grab this grey color. It’s a super comfy & soft cotton-y material that will be perfect for spring & summer. It comes in a bunch of other colors, but I love the neutrals. I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a little oversized as far as the width. I don’t mind it because I like my dresses to be loose & flowy!
I shared the black version of this dress last week & y’all loved it so much that I decided to get it in this cute mauve color! It’s like a quilted material, but it’s soo soft & comfy. It has really nice pockets & I think the 3/4 balloon sleeves are so flattering. I’m wearing a small & would say it fits oversized, but I believe that’s the style — I don’t think this dress would look as cute if it were really tight. I’m thinking this might be my Easter dress?!
If you have a beach trip coming up, please get this darling crochet sweater & send me a pic of you in it on the beach!!! I was worried that it was going to be really see through because of the stitching, but it’s actually not bad at all. I wore a white bralette underneath & you can barely even see it. I went with a medium because I thought a looser fit would be cuter with this style, I would say it is true to size. It comes in a dark grey color as well I believe.
I’m pretty sure I just found the sandals I’m going to be wearing ALL SUMMER LONG!!! These super simple two strap sandals are so beyond comfy & effortless. They are just as comfy (if not more) than rubber Birkenstocks & I feel like they can be easily dressed up as well which is a perk that rubber Birkenstocks don’t have. This is the chestnut color & I love it! They come in a ton of other brown shades as well & I’m totally eyeing the black color. I know I’ll wear these all the time when I’m working at the sno cone shack!
If you’ve been around here this whole school year, then you know that in August I became kind of obsessed with skorts. Skorts are a really big deal in the school I work at — pretty much every single female staff member wears them! I have searched sooo long to find a good quality skort that I felt comfortable in & that fits me well. Last year I bought a black one & wore it almost every week, especially on game days! I saw that Target came out with this year’s version of the skort I love, so you know I had to buy it. & now I’m going to have to get it in every color because I love it so much! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a tiny bit oversized — I usually wear a medium in most bottoms & this small fits me perfectly. It has deep pockets as well as built-in spandex shorts. My school has three flights of stairs so I’m constantly going up & down & really would like to avoid flashing my students lol so this aspect of the skort helps me to feel secure & covered!
Last, but certainly not least is this cute little activewear outfit. The top is a waffle material & I really love it! It’s so unique how the back gets longer. I tried it on with jeans after these pics & it’s wonderful because it can totally be dressed up that way, too! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits oversized, but I think that’s the style. The shorts are fabulous & come in several color options. They’re thin & airy so they’re perfect for summer. They have a cute detailing on the sides & fit a little bit small.
