Happy happy Friday! Wowza the first week back from spring break is a doozy!

what I've been up to...

I have had cheer tryouts going on this week so we’ve had practice every day. Our final tryouts are this evening & I’m very proud & excited to watch each girl! The side eye from my cat is a good example of how she’s feeling about my busy schedule this week lol.

My senior cheerleader had her signing this week to cheer at a college next year. I’m so proud of her!

The last few days I’ve been making myself my own version of a Chick-Fil-A salad. It has lettuce, peas, corn, cucumbers, peppers, & crispy chicken bites with some chick-fil-a sauce & let me tell ya, it is DELISH!!!

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

& this was my little workout outfit after school. I just got these shorts from Target & I’m obsessed! They fit true to size, but have a draw cord waist so you can make them smaller.

I recently saw these darling cups at Target & knew I needed to have both, not only because they’re super cute, but because they’re literally $10!!! They’re 25oz so they’re a great size + they’re insulated so they keep your drink cold. I love the message of each cup — they’re my new fav counselor cup at school!

I shared a super comfy t-shirt dress from Target a couple of weeks ago, & this is basically the tank top version, so yes, it’s awesome! This white isn’t see through at all which is a huge plus! The pockets & subtle cinched waistline make it SO flattering. I’m wearing a small & would say it fits pretty true to size. There are a few other color options available that I’ve got my eye on now!

This next dress is pretty far out of my comfort zone, but I’m actually super obsessed with it!! It’s like a quilted material, but it’s soo soft & comfy. It has really nice pockets & I think the 3/4 balloon sleeves are so flattering. I’ve already ordered it in the mauve color, too! I’m wearing a small & would say it fits oversized, but I believe that’s the style — I don’t think this dress would look as cute if it were really tight.

As much as I try to say I’m not a trend follower, I totally am. “Flare leggings” aka yoga pants are coming back in style. I used to wear yoga pants all the time so I figured I’d love these. I grabbed a pair from Aerie & if I’m being totally honest, I was pretty disappointed. They’re definitely very flared & don’t fit like yoga pants used to. My sister (who is skinnier & taller than me) tried some on on our spring break trip, & they weren’t super flattering on her either! Maybe it’s just Aerie? I’m not sure. They fit true to size & feel just like their offline leggings which I love.

This bright crewneck & these shorts are also an Aerie find, & I’m a big fan of both! I got an XXS in the crewneck (my normal size from them) & would say it fits more like a medium. I love the ribbed detailing & open hemline. This color is a little bright for me, but I’m very interested in their neutral colors. These shorts were really cool & super comfy because the waistband is like high waisted legging material — it felt lovely! They’re a little bit too short for my liking through (I don’t need my students seeing my rear hanging out from underneath when I’m out & about). If they were a couple inches longer, I’d probably buy every color!

This ribbed quarter zip is my last Aerie find. It’s super comfy & honestly pretty soft. I got an XXS & felt like depending on the area of the top, it either fit like a small or medium. I didn’t love the fit of it, so I didn’t keep it. These shorts are from Target & they’re fantastic!!! True to size, but they have a draw cord so you can make them tighter if you need to. Great coverage & good pockets!

It’s spring in Kansas & you know what that means… random rain showers are possible any day! I have one black rain jacket from Amazon that I love, but I saw a few people raving about this Walmart one, so I decided to try it out & y’all, it’s totally worth the hype!! It’s not like a stiff slicky material, it’s actually more soft. Now that may mean it’s not was water resistant, but I haven’t tried it out. I got my true size medium so that I could wear it over jackets & sweatshirts & would say it’s true to size. This color is super fun (a bunch of others are available) & I like that I can wear it with leggings.

The texture & color of this jumpsuit is just superb!! It’s like a super soft velvety material. Both pieces fit true to size!

I saved my favorite outfit for last! Y’all know how obsessed I’ve been lately with this light purple color & I’ve always been obsessed with lounge sets. This one is wonderful! The pieces come separately & fit true to size. It comes in a bunch of other colors, but this one is my absolute fav!

I’m meeting up with some girlfriends for dinner tomorrow night & then will of course go to church & lunch with my family on Sunday, but other than that, I’m hoping for a chill weekend!
