Feel Good Friday
After 3:20pm today, it’s officially my spring break!!! Woot woot!
what I've been up to...
Last week, the 7th grade Foods & Nutrition class made lunch for our staff. It was so delicious! I look forward to this day every quarter, not just because I don’t have to pack a lunch, but because it’s so cute to see the kids so proud of what they’ve made.
Our science teacher is also fantastic at baking which is a total win-win for us! She brought some cupcakes to school on Friday & of course I had to take one of each because I was modeling inclusivity for my middle schoolers lol. The left is chocolate peanut butter & the right is strawberry lemonade. Which would you choose?
This is the book I was reading this week!
outfits of the week…
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.
Thursday…
Totally forgot to share my workout outfit from last Thursday, so here it is!
Friday…
Morning workout outfit!
& then my outfit for school! I love this Amazon tee. It’s less than $12 right now! Super soft & fits true to size.
Saturday…
As usual, I spent Saturday in my pjs & didn’t document it lol
Sunday…
Sunday’s comfy + cozy church outfit for heading out into the cold weather!
Monday...
Cozy little OOTD for teacher in-service / work day!
Swapped out the leggings for some shorts to do my workout!
Tuesday...
Tuesday morning workout attire!
& my OOTD for school & music festival day!
Wednesday...
Tired & cozy OOTD for Wednesday! Today was an active rest day, so I swapped the jeans out for some joggers when I got home & went for a long walk.
Thursday...
Thursday morning workout outfit! While I was doing my workout, I got a message saying we’d have a two hour delay so I went back to bed afterwards lol.
& here’s my cozy outfit for school! The goal is to stay warm during this blizzard!
in case you missed it...
One of my favorite things to do towards the beginning of each month, is go back & look at what things y’all loved from the month before! It’s so cool to see y’all loving some of my fav finds, too!! As always, I couldn’t be more thankful for y’all hanging out with me on my little corner of the internet & supporting me by shopping my links! Y’all are the best! Linking to that post here.
As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.
friday favs...
I have one senior cheerleader this year & she unfortunately had the stomach flu on senior night, so we weren't able to celebrate her. Since basketball season is officially over for us, we decided to give her our gift now. I bought this shadow box & senior cheer bow off of Amazon. I printed off a favorite picture & had each girl write her a short note. I thought this was a cute little keepsake idea & I'm thinking about continuing the tradition each year.
Starting to slowly get into organizing again! Loving how these can organizers make my fridge look. The top is removable so you can stack them (or anything else on top) or take them off for easy access. I love how these look!!!
Sharing a Target + Walmart haul next!
I went on a bit of a Target sandal shopping spree so I have three pairs to share with you today! Originally I wanted to get these in the camel color, but they were sold out in my size, so I went with black. The ankle strap is velcro so you can adjust it to be as tight or as loose as you want. Overall, they’re very comfortable, but I felt like they fit a little bit big.
You may have seen me share about the Amazon version of these studded sandals (which I love), but I wanted to try the Target version to compare. It was like my own little studded sandal experiment lol (this would be the only kind of experiment I would EVER be interested in). For me, the Amazon version wins. I like both the color & the fit of the sandal better. They are just really comfortable, & these Target ones are a bit chunkier & heavier. They do come in a couple of other color options, though!
I’ve had my eyes on these sandals since last summer, but they’ve been out of stock in my size… until now! They are super duper comfy & fit true to size. I wish they had more color options available besides just yellow, but yellow could be super cute for spring & summer!
My mom & I both saw this floral blouse & became obsessed with it. Unfortunately, it’s been out of stock in her size, but it was available in a medium so I snagged it. I would say it fits pretty true to size for a medium blouse. I like the the balloon sleeves aren’t too tight & the body has good amount of flow. I tried it on with a cream cardigan & it was darling! Such a perfect piece to transition with into spring!
This dress is so unique & spunky that it’s kind of out of my comfort zone, but I ended up really loving it! I got it in a small & would definitely say it fits oversized. I had a lot of extra room pretty much everywhere. It comes in other color options, but of course I had to go with a classic black. It’s a really great quality dress, especially from Target! It honestly feels like it should be more like a boutique or something else so I’m super impressed.
Who doesn’t love a good midi t-shirt dress?! This one is from Target & it is WONDERFUL! It’s a super comfy & soft cotton-y material that will be perfect for spring & summer. It comes in a bunch of other colors, but I love this classic white. I wore a white bra with it & you could just barely see the outline, so it’s not see through. I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a little oversized as far as the width. I don’t mind it because I like my dresses to be loose & flowy!
& now time for some Walmart! Y’all know how much I love peplum & babydoll style tops, so when I saw this one, I had to grab it. I love the light pink & white checkered pattern, it just seems so sweet & springy to me! It’s really soft & comfortable as well. I grabbed a medium & would say it fits a little bit large, but it kind of feels like the kind of fabric that will shrink when you wash it, so I’m happy with this size.
I’ve seen this t-shirt dress shared so many times that I finally ordered it for myself. One thing I found very interesting about this dress: it has shoulder pads. That’s right, you heard me. Shoulder pads. When I didn’t have my hair in front of my shoulders, I truly looked like a football player. But once I moved my hair in front, I could hardly even tell they were there! The dress is a super soft & almost silky material. Which is nice, but that also means that it shows every single part of your body & doesn’t really hide anything. I got a size small & would say it fits true to size!
There’s just something about a henley that I love, especially one that’s part of a lounge set! Quite a few other color options are available, but you guys know how I am when it comes to black lol. The pieces come separately, but I got a medium in both — both fit true to size. It’s super super soft & I never want to take it off!!
Last but certainly not least is this comfy little tie-dye lounge set. It comes in other color options, but I just loved this one for spring. It’s a pretty thin material which will actually be really nice because you won’t get too hot. This set comes together. I got a medium & would say it fits true to size.
