Feel Good Friday

Happy Friday, friends!!

what I've been up to...

On Saturday, my youngest sister & I met some of my mom’s extended family for dinner at TheBarn. Their sweet tea is wonderful & we enjoyed our dinner & the company! My sister & I both got the “barn bowl”. It has mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, cheese & cut up fried chicken. So stinkin’ yummy!

Tuesday was a home game for my sister & my other sister who’s in college decided to come home for it! The girls won & played really well together!

Nobody can tell me that pets can’t tell when it’s been a hard week. My cat is just like me — not a physical touch person — but she snuggled up right next to me in bed on Wednesday night! So precious.

outfits of the week…

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

Friday…

Game day outfit of the day!

Saturday…

OOTD for a cozy fall Saturday! I seriously can’t get enough of this Target cardigan & this fall tee!

Sunday…

Sunday means Chiefs game day! While it wasn’t the outcome I was hoping for, it was still a fun game to watch, especially since I was warm & cozy on my couch!! For those of you who don’t know, it absolutely POURED during the game & there was a lightning delay as well. So in love with all of this new gear I’m getting, so of course I’ve gotta help y’all get some too! Use my code (SSTOWN20) to get 20% off claireANDbellaCO’s Etsy shop!

Monday...

This week is spirit week at my school so my outfits will be a little different than usual! Monday’s theme was tourist day. I got this cozy sweatshirt on my summer vacation to Estes Park, CO. I love how colorful & soft it is! Linking some similar options below.

Tuesday...

Tuesday’s spirit week theme was twin day! A bunch of the staff are wearing our new staff t-shirts with comfy black pants. My kind of work outfit!!

Wednesday...

Wednesday’s spirit week theme was stoplight — 8th grade wears red, 7th grade wears yellow / orange, 6th grade wears green. I didn’t want to have to pick a color since they’re all my kids so I decided to stay neutral!

Thursday...

Thursday’s spirit week theme was game day gear since it’s our last middle school game day for volleyball & football! Early morning cheer practice + day three hair means a lazy bun it is.

in case you missed it...

On Tuesday I shared my monthly book review post! I talked about this recently on Instagram, but there’s a big difference between talking about something & actually doing it. I’m talking about being intentional with my time & doing things for me. I love reading, but I’ve become so wrapped up in my busy life with school starting again that I’ve totally neglected it. Recently I’ve reintroduced reading into my daily schedule & it’s made such a difference! I couldn’t believe how much I had been missing reading & exposing myself to different situations & stories of the world. Take What You Can Carry by Gian Sardar was a phenomenal one to start with as I dive back into reading. I love a good story about someone finding their inner voice or finding their niche & man oh man this fulfilled that completely! Highly recommend this read to anyone looking to expose yourself to more of the world. You can read my full review of this book ( + one other ) in my blog post that’s up today — link here!

On Wednesday I shared another one of my mom’s recipes — Easy Breakfast Casserole. This is another family fav! You can view that post by clicking here.

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

friday favs...

Sundays are my fav because that means Chiefs game day!!! So in love with all of this new gear I’m getting, so of course I’ve gotta help y’all get some too! Use my code (SSTOWN20) to get 20% off claireANDbellaCO’s Etsy shop! My code is good through December.

I know that life lately has felt a little draining. I’m right there with ya, sister. & I’m proud of you for waking up each day & moving forward! Sometimes that’s all you can do… rise & lift others up with you. In honor of all of you strong women, I’m partnering with ExqApparel on Etsy for a t-shirt giveaway this week! Be sure to check out my Instagram to see how to enter. Giveaway closes next Tuesday (10/19).

I’ve loved jewelry & accessories ever since I worked at a local boutique while I was in high school. I didn’t wear much in college (because every day was leggings & a T-shirt lol) & once I started working, it was so fun to rediscover my style! Sapphire Clay Co. has been my absolute favorite place to get my clay earrings from! They're so light that I forget they're even in my ears!! They're adorable & such fantastic quality. These two are my new favs from her fall collection & they're soo perfect for fall! Kennedee is offering y'all 15% off anything from her shop using my code Alli15! Eep what a steal for y'all!

These ones are called “Taylor” but they’re unfortunately sold out right now. She told me she has another collection launching later this month so keep an eye out for that!

These ones are called “Kuzco” & they are available in other color options as well.

You guys know I LOVE Target’s dresses, especially their fall floral ones! I’ve shared this dress in other pattern options in the past & it’s still that good. I love the tiered look & how it switches to different patterns! I’m wearing a small & it fits a little bit wide.

The weather has started changing a bit which means I’m pulling out all of my comfy & cozy pieces! I found these fleece joggers at Target & knew they were a must-have! I got them in black too (scroll down to see). I’m wearing a medium & feel like they fit big which I was surprised about. They’re beyond soft & only $18 which is a great deal for some really good joggers. My tee & chunky sneakers are from Target, too! Loving this whole outfit!!

How stinkin’ adorable are these?!! They’re a little bit retro which is super fun! They come in other color options as well, but I love this grey color.

Here’s the black pair of joggers I mentioned above, but this time paired with a different Target tee & some tan sneakers. Target is totally speaking my love language right now with all of their neutral pieces & the comfort is out of this world! Way to go, Target!!!

I love me a good waffle knit sweater & this one is super fun because there’s a lot of different colors going on, but it’s super subtle. The sweater itself is kind of a cream base & it has little bits of grey & light pink in it which makes it look mostly grey in some lighting or cream in other lighting. It fights mostly true to size — the sleeves are a bit long for me, but the length & width is great! It comes in other color options as well.

Okay this next sweater is super fun & pretty out of my comfort zone! It’s called an “aztec” print which I think is a pretty great description. The color scheme is beautiful, as are the details in the sweater. It’s more of a cropped fit with a mockneck neckline. It’s super thick & somewhat soft. It comes in other color options as well if this one is a little too out of your box as well! ;)

I think this light mauve pink color is going to be my favorite color this fall — I seriously can’t get enough of it!!! This flowy blouse is super cute & sweet & would fit every body type because of the style, I’m wearing a small. I paired it with a cream knitted cardigan (also from Target) that I’ve become slightly obsessed with, & this floral knotted headband from an Etsy shop. Could this color scheme & outfit be any more feminine?! I’m here for it!!

Last year you all loved the speckled sweaters I shared so when I saw this speckled grandpa cardigan from Target, I knew I had to add it to my cart. As you can see, there’s only three buttons & they are down very low so it looks super cute to wear them buttoned-up with a t-shirt or tank underneath. It’s fairly soft, although definitely not the softest cardigan I’ve ever felt & it fits a tad oversized — I’m in a small. It comes in a few other color options as well besides this grey one.

I’ve shared this skort a bunch before in the black color & y’all loved it just about as much as I do so I figured I ought to get another color! I grabbed this ivory color & love it! It looks super cute & casual with a black long sleeve & some sneakers. Just like the black one, I’m wearing a small & feel like it fits oversized (I usually wear a medium in bottoms). Some of the other color options are still available, but sizes are pretty limited.

When I bought this color of skort, I pictured wearing it with this darling pumpkin tee from Etsy! So stinking cute!!!
