Life Lately
what I've been up to...
Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind always.
Spreading a little bit of kindness by giving away one of these cutie tumblers! Check out my instagram post to see how to enter.
Winner will be chosen Friday (9/20)! ✨
Piper understood the assignment when I told her we needed to rest last weekend because I felt like I was getting sick.
Here’s how my week started…
Tried my first Poppi drink this week! I don’t love artificial cherry flavors so I’m giving this cherry limeade a 6/10.
On the bookshelf this week (or actually more like for the last three weeks lol)!
Early morning walks are our favorite way to start the day!
Got this pumpkin spiced coffee concentrate last weekend & I’ve absolutely been loving it with a protein drink mix as my creamer. I love all pumpkin flavored things so this makes me so happy!
Piper & I worked the middle school volleyball games on Thursday night. I looked over & found Piper sitting like this watching the game like she’s just another one of the girls. So cute!
She was pretty tuckered out after awhile.
This was the side eye I got the next morning when I told her it was time to get up lol!
The K-State game was on Friday this week, so Piper & I took a half day off from work to head up to Manhattan! As always, we had the absolute best time in the spot I love full well!
outfits of the week...
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

what Bethany is learning...
My sister, Bethany, is currently doing the It is Well - Anxiety Bible Study with a group of friends. She is really learning a lot & is going to share a few things each week that really stood out to her!
1. This week was our first official week of our study, It Is Well. There were a lot of really good conversations between us girls! We talked about the different techniques that we all do and what we want to do.
2. We talked about the power of prayer and how it should be our first instinct to turn towards God.
3. One of the things that we talked about was how the Lord can and should be our safe place. Whenever we are feeling overwhelmed and life is feeling so hard, our safest place should be with the Lord.
in case you missed it...
Amazon seems to be my go-to when it comes to affordable & comfortable school outfits! They have so many great pieces that are great during the day & transition well from the classroom to after-school activities. Here is the post of all the things my family bought during the month of August!
As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.
If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery. They’re “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out their post by clicking here!
Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)
I recently purged my closets & posted about it on Instagram. I had a bunch of people asking if I’d be selling those clothes, so I created a private facebook group to share them! If you’d like to be added to the group, please send your name & email & I’ll get the link sent to ya! You can either comment below if you feel comfortable, or send me an email at simplysmalltownblog@gmail.com
