Happy happy Friday, sweet people! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & New Years! I was so thankful to get to spend some time with my family. Thank you for respecting my choice to take a break from the blog to be fully present with them — I’m so thankful for you!
outfits of the week…
For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.
I was still in major Christmas break mode at the beginning of this week, so I did a terrible job taking OOTD pics! I’ll do better next week once I’m back in more of the groove!!

With the snow storm that came through overnight & the freezing temperatures, my entire town lost power for a good chunk of the day so we didn’t have school! I don’t think I’ll be leaving my house so I don’t have an outfit to share for Thursday either!

My sisters & I got this cleanser for Christmas & we are OBSESSED! Makes our skin squeaky clean & smells so darn good. One of my sisters swears it’s already clearing up her acne in one week!
We also got this lip mask (comes in a pack of four for $16 from Walmart so that was perfect for my sisters & I). The flavor is wonderful & it’s super creamy. I’ve actually been wearing it as chapstick because I love it so much!
My weighted blanket has been a life changer for me! I’ve seen a direct change on how much better I sleep at night!
I got this darling cognac cross body purse for Christmas & I’m in love! I love the textured detailing on the front bottom half & of course, the tassel zipper!
I crimped my hair on Christmas Eve Eve & it’s been so long since I styled my hair like that that I forgot how much I like it! My hair crimper is on sale for 27% off making it $27!

I hardly ever buy clothes in navy colors & I’m not sure why because I actually really like this one! It’s not the softest material ever, but it’s thick & warm & I love the knitted look. I’m wearing an XS, but it fits more like a medium honestly. Comes in a few other color options!
Y’all know I have such a deep love for striped sweaters so I couldn’t resist this Walmart one, especially since it’s under $10!!! It’s a really cozy thick material which I am appreciating now that the weather has finally decided it’s winter! Wearing a small here, it fits oversized.
I also grabbed it in this camo print & dressed it down! I love it!
When Walmart reached out to see if I wanted to partner with them to showcase some of their great home products, I knew right away what two areas I wanted to work on.. my coffee bar in my office at school & the bench area in my mudroom! A few affordable additions later & I’m so pleased with the results!
I really love using neutral pieces because it makes it so easy to add new things or swap old ones out. It makes it so easy to move things around & use them in lots of different ways. I’ve been loving pops of gold & leopard lately as well. Don’t sleep on Walmart, y’all. They have great finds that will help spruce up any area of your home without breaking the bank!
