Feel Good Friday
Happy Friday everyone! This week felt extra long to me because last week I only worked three days! Since I had last Friday off, I spent a good chunk of the day cleaning my house which I was really thankful for later because it made relaxing that much easier. For me, when my house is clean, I find that I can focus on tasks at hand much better & that I can also relax easier. If my house is dirty, then I'll be thinking about that instead of what I'm currently doing. Anybody else?
friday favs...
This week on the blog we talked about how it's okay to say no (which you can read here) & two big colors/patterns that are very in style this fall: rust & camo. We shared ways to dress it up & (of course), ways to dress it down as well. If you know us at all by now, you know that us Rice girls really value our comfort lol. Personally, I'm a really big fan of both of these colors/patterns because they go well with my olive skin tone, as well as lots of other skin tones! It's so fun to see what different patterns & colors are in style during each season.
Also, I shared this necklace on Instagram stories, but wanted to share it here because it immediately became a fav of mine! I've been wanting a small, dainty initial necklace after seeing some that cost an arm & a leg. I found this duplicate that is good quality & as similar as it can get to the original ones I was looking at.
They're originally priced at $22.50, but are still on sale so now's the time!
Also, please disregard the "dirty looking spot" under my bottom lip lol it's my birthmark. Gotta take what God gave ya!
to look forward to...
Next week we'll be featuring some very festive shirts for this fall season. These pumpkin shirts have been some of my favorite pieces I've added to my wardrobe lately. Can't wait to share!
weekend plans...
This weekend I'm heading home for some fun celebrations including bridal showers & birthdays, specifically mine (technically it's not until next Tuesday, but since I won't see my family again for a few weeks, we're celebrating this weekend).
Friday night I'll go watch my sister cheer on the football boys & I'm hoping the weather cooperates! Sometimes I can hardly handle doing recess duty lol. On Monday, I took one step outside & the wind almost took my glasses right off my face!
My Saturday options include: Moundridge high school volleyball substate, K-State's homecoming weekend & they're playing Oklahoma, & of course, trying to keep up with the endless amounts of grad school homework I have to do. Which one will win? Who knows.
On Sunday, one of my very best friends is having a bridal shower & I could not be more excited to celebrate her love story & be around so many people who mean so much to me!
What are your plans for the weekend? Drop them below in the comments, or feel free to message us on Facebook or Instagram! We'd love to hear what you're all up to. We hope you all have a wonderful & cozy weekend!
