Feel Good Friday

Last weekend I went home to celebrate my birthday & to attend a bridal shower to celebrate the love story of some of my dearest friends, Rachel & Paul! Sophie (the family cat & my best bud) always accompanies me on my drives home. She loves looking around at the big, beautiful world, so I took a picture of her in her "carseat" to document just how cute she is lol. Saturday evening my parents took me out for my birthday dinner & we celebrated with my favorite blueberry beer. Then on Sunday, I was reunited with my best friends to giggle & ooh-&-awh at Rachel & Paul & their gifts that will bless them greatly in the near future. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend full of so many good things & I'm just darn thankful for this life I love.

friday favs...

My mom knocked my birthday gifts out of the park this year, so I wanted to share it with y'all! All of these things are wonderful options to keep in mind as you begin your Christmas shopping.

Okay, the first this is this loopy phone case. I've been seeing these all over the place & have been wanting one for quite awhile! This phone case has a loop on the back that makes holding your phone so much easier. Lots of times my fingers get stiff & sore from holding my phone & this loopy case solves all of that. It also makes it so easy to slip a finger or two through the adjustable loop when you're bringing all of your groceries inside. & of course, I love the leopard pattern! They have tons of other patterns as well.

Ever wish you had something easy & small to carry around when you're not wanting to lug around your purse? Well have I got the thing for you! My mom got me this darling color block wristlet & it's perfect for that exact thing! It fits my cellphone, my drivers license, debit card, some cash, chapstick/lipstick, my keys & sunglasses. Mine is the size small & it comes in two bigger sizes, but the small size has been serving me well.

Succulent is from Trader Joe's.

Another one of my favorites is this pajama set from Amazon. I usually wear an old ratty t-shirt & shorts to bed, which my mom can't stand, so this gift is probably partially for her too lol! I don't really like sleeping in pants, so this is the perfect pajama set for me. Plus, it's so soft & comfortable & fits really well.

I love me a good cup of iced coffee, or hot tea, or sweet tea, or lemon water, or kombucha, or diet Dr. Pepper, or... you get the point. I have all different kinds of favorite beverages that I like to enjoy throughout my day. It's important to me that I keep the beverage at the temperature it should be at. I'm sure you've all heard of the brand Yeti, which is the brand of this cup. My mom knows me so well & got me an add on piece that comes with a new lid & straw (I am a straw lover, but save the turtles, right?). This 20 oz. cup is the perfect size for me!

These next two hair tools are going to change your life!

I'm one of those people who doesn't really like blowdrying my hair because it takes so long, I typically get pretty hot, & my hair is usually a frizzy afro when I finish. This hair dryer brush has been truly life changing! Avery got one for her birthday, I tried it once & immediately put it on my wish list. It cuts my blow dry time in half, I don't get overheated because it only blows from certain angles, & because you brush it as you dry it, my final product is smooth & I'm able to leave the house just like that! This tool is wonderful.

Before my birthday, my only hair tools were my blow dryer & my straightener. I always used my straightener to curl my hair, which works pretty well, but I sometimes wish I could have tighter curls. My mom got me this 5 in 1 curling set & it has been so fun to play around with! It comes with two different wands & three different curling iron extensions, a heat-proof glove, & a travel bag.

I used the widest wand on Sunday morning & on Monday morning I woke up a little late for school & I was shocked to find out that the curls had stayed so well that I didn't even need to touch up my hair at all! A little dry shampoo & I was out the door -- a huge time saver.

THANKS MOM!!!
