Feel Good Friday

Happy Friday, friends! Last weekend was such a fun weekend! It was so full of activities & spending time with some of my favorite people. When I got out of school on Friday, I headed straight for home to see my besties in Wichita. Two of my friends are getting married in the next couple of months so we all went to see the places that they're going to be living with their soon-to-be husbands. It was honestly like hometown dates on the Bachelor! Friday night was so fun catching up with my girls.

On Saturday, I spent the morning wandering in & out of the stores in downtown Newton with my mom & grandma -- it was so relaxing. We decided on pizza for lunch which really hit the spot on that brisk early October afternoon. We also sampled a few different kinds of locally brewed kombucha which was really cool!

Saturday evening was spent celebrating the cutie in the middle of the pic above! Addy is getting married in early January & it was so much fun to celebrate her while being surrounded by some of the best people.

On Sunday, my parents & I decided to check out the Kansas Barn Sale since the weather wasn't as cold & rainy as the day before. There was still quite a lot leftover so it was fun to wander around & admire the different things that people are passionate about making/selling.

friday favs...

This week we talked about some of our current favorite beauty products, clothes, devices, etc. In case you missed it, you can view it here! We also shared a bunch of different ideas for game day attire that we hope inspired you to show some school spirit, which you can view here. The last thing we shared is this delicious dessert dip that is so perfect for fall & will have you wanting to eat it with just a spoon. ;)

to look forward to...

Next week we're going to introduce you to Cassidy Corrigan who owns Simply Lynn's Boutique & has some of the most perfect pieces to have you lookin' cute this fall.

Also, I just discovered this new under eye brightening cream & it's too good not to share it with the world so look out for that post coming in a couple of weeks!

weekend plans...

Yes, I'm going home AGAIN! There's times where I really question why I chose to live 1.5 hours from home. I truly love being a big sister & getting to watch all of their activities. But I also truly love Manhattan & where I'm at right now. I'm just thankful that I have the opportunities that I do to be able to go home whenever I want.

  • Friday night I'm going to watch my sister, Avery, cheer on the football team & my other sister, Bethany, play the trap set for the high school pep band. There's just nothing like going home & being in the same environment that helped shape me into who I am today. I love watching my sisters experience high school, make memories, & grow in so many different ways.

  • Avery has a volleyball tournament on Saturday so the majority of my day will be spent cheering her on & the rest will be spent relaxing (hopefully).

  • On Sunday I'm excited to really have nothing planned besides going to church & watching football on the couch with my Dad.

  • I don't have school on Monday so I'm pretty excited for this three-day-weekend! This upcoming week is my midterm week for my grad classes so I'll be spending a lot of time studying & drinking iced coffee as an incentive.

Random question: do you like iced coffee or hot coffee? Once I tried iced coffee I never went back. I drink iced coffee even in the middle of winter! Don't judge me.

What are your plans for the weekend? Drop them below in the comments or feel free to message us on Facebook or Instagram! We'd love to hear what you're all up to. We hope you all have a wonderful & cozy weekend!
