Feel Good Friday
TGIF!!! Am I right?
what we've been up to...
Wowza this week has been a doozy. Election week is always a lot to take in, plus the negativity & posts on social media this year has honestly just really turned me off. I'm not at all trying to get political, all I'm saying is that it's sad to me that this is how we treat one another. I took advantage of the opportunity & talked with my 8th grade leadership & careers class about the importance of respecting the opinions of others. I hope they grow up to be a bit kinder than some of my friends on Facebook. ;) #sorrynotsorry
In other news, pretty much my whole family has been in quarantine this week. My youngest sister had to get tested (her rapid came back negative) & she said the test was truly as bad as it sounds lol. Luckily, since I don't live with them I am able to go about my daily life! Anyone else feeling weary & exhausted just from covid scares? I know I am.
friday favs...
walmart basics...
I’m always on the lookout for basic pieces because you can never go wrong with them & they never go out of style! This grey, black, & white one is no exception. So soft & fits great! It has a bit of a cowl neck but it’s really relaxed & not tight at all so it lays really nicely. The stripes on the back switch directions about halfway down which I think is a really cute detail & makes it different from other shirts like this. It’s pretty thin so it’ll be a great layering piece for sure!

Like I said above, there’s no such thing as too many basic pieces. I love this grey top because it’s super versatile — it can totally be dressed up or down. Wear it with some jeans, booties & fun jewelry & you’re good to go! Or wear it with your favorite leggings & sneakers for a comfier outfit. It works either way! Definitely a bit oversized, but I like that in my basic pieces because then I can wear them with leggings & not worry about my booty showing. Love it!

Yet another great basic option! This one is definitely a little bit nicer than the grey one above, but nonetheless, is super cute! On me, it’s almost like a turtle neck dress because of how long it is — DEFINITELY legging friendly! It’s super soft & cozy & is $25. It comes in two other colors & I would say fits slightly oversized, but it is called a tunic so that could be why.

Okay how darling is this quarter zip?!! The top half is a slick quilted material & the rest is almost like a slick dry fit type of material? Like it kind of feels sporty. It’s nice! You would have no idea just looking at it that that’s the type of material. I like it though because you could easily dress it up or down. I chose the white color because I don’t really own many white tops, especially none that I wear just running around out & about. This looks super cute with jeans & a vest as well. It barely covers my booty just a heads up, but it does fit a little bit oversized.

For some reason this week I have been absolutely exhausted. I'm not sure if it's the time change messing with me or if life is just all catching up to me. I will be spending my weekend having some much needed rest time as well as *still* studying for my CPCE. This is my last weekend before I take the test & I feel like I do the best studying when I'm at home in a quiet + no-interruptions kind of environment.
What are your plans for the weekend? Drop them below in the comments, or feel free to message us on Facebook or Instagram! We’d love to hear what you’re all up to. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
