Life Lately

what I've been up to...

I go back to work on Monday to start working on enrollment & scheduling for the school year. I’m thankful for my final week of summer!

On the bookshelf this week!

Final foot update calls for celebratory coffee + a stop to see my sister!
Officially cleared!!! I have zero pain, good movement & strength. Unfortunately x-rays are showing that it is still broken, but it is ok as long as I continue to have no pain or problems. There is a chance I could have issues with it in the future & the only way to fix it properly would be surgery. But I am feeling good & very optimistic! Yay for no more boot!!!

The sunrise was beautiful on the drive to my appointment!

I’ve been trying out a few sour beers from Total Wine. Here’s my reviews:
- Dill Pickle: 10/10
- Rainbow Sherbet: 8/10
- Purple Haze: 1/10

Back to school prep includes a pedicure, of course!

Happy Birthday (on Saturday) to my favorite 78 year old! I like to think I got my independence & love of good books, card games, pedicures & time with family from you. I’m thankful she’s my grandma!

This is how Piper sleeps every night, just like a little human, using BOTH pillows & laying right in the middle of the bed lol!

Piper graduated from our advanced obedience class on Saturday! This was Piper’s first class since her knee surgeries. You’d have no idea she’s been out of the game since April! Proud mama.

Will definitely miss our Saturday friend group!

Piper girl definitely earned her post-graduation car nap lol

outfits of the week...

During the school year I did a pretty good job at consistently sharing my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet. However, because it’s summertime, sometimes I don’t even get dressed lol so I’ll share as much as I can, but it’s definitely not as big of a priority for me like during the school year.

in case you missed it...

A month or so into the school year I start to get it in a rut & feel like I wear the same things over & over. So, I decided to create these seasonal posts, so we can all come to one place when we need some outfit inspo! Click here to see that post.

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

If you follow me on Instagram or LTK, then you’ve probably noticed that I have really stepped up my game when it comes to collages of sales, outfit inspos & new items. Well, that is all thanks to my younger sisters, Bethany & Avery. They’re “poor college students” & my mom & I were looking for some extra help on the blog, so it just made sense to bring them on board! We’ll be compiling all of the collages into one post each week so that they’re all in one place & to give those who don’t use social media a place to find them! Check out their post by clicking here!

Next up is my Friday fashion favs post!! Click here to read that one. It’s a goodie if I do say so myself. ;)

I recently purged my closets & posted about it on Instagram. I had a bunch of people asking if I’d be selling those clothes, so I created a private facebook group to share them! If you’d like to be added to the group, please send your name & email & I’ll get the link sent to ya! You can either comment below if you feel comfortable, or send me an email at simplysmalltownblog@gmail.com
