12 things we're loving: December

Sara's loves...

  • vitamin c serum. Do you use a vitamin c serum on your face? It seems like it's such a popular thing lately & I had really been wanting to try it. I read quite a lot of reviews & this one seemed like a great one to try since it not only has vitamin c but also Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin E. You guys, I love it! I just started using it & my face feel so good. So smooth & soft. Plus it's supposed to help even out your skin tone & help with wrinkles which I'm all about right now! This is just something you add to your regular skin care routine. It only takes a few drops, so the bottle should last quite a while.

  • Amazon paperbag pants. I ordered these pants for a wedding we were attending the day after Thanksgiving. (I had surgery the beginning of November & due to some complications, the recovery has been more intense than I expected so I was looking for something that would not only look good, but feel good too). They're actually supposed to be a cropped pant, but they fit like normal pants on me because I'm so short -- ha! They're so comfortable & honestly more flattering than I expected. I really like them & plan on ordering them in some other colors as well!

  • Christmas coffee mugs. I love having a warm drink in the afternoons at my desk or in the evening before bed. Last weekend, Bethany made a big batch of Christmas Tea & that has been my go-to this week. Every time I warm it up, the whole house smells like Christmas & having it in a Christmas coffee mug makes it even better! (& of course, I'm still loving my coffee cup warmer that the kids got me last year for Christmas. It saves me so many trips to the microwave because I'm not a fast drinker). I'll be posting the recipes for Christmas Tea & my friend Steph's Famous Hot Chocolate soon, so watch for those. They are both big hits at our house!

Alli's loves...

  • new water jug. Drinking enough water has always been something that I struggle with. I would just rather drink something else that has more flavor like sweet tea, diet dr. pepper, iced coffee, you name it. But I know how good water is for me so I decided to get a water jug that would be specifically for water. The 32 oz. yetis are too big to hold comfortably for me (#smallhandprobs), but I wanted to find a cute jug that would hold a lot of water & keep it cold. Because I'm so busy, I don't have a lot of time to worry about making sure my water bottle is full or that it has enough ice so those two things were at the top of my list. I saw this jug & decided to give it a try. It holds 32 oz. of water & keeps it cold just like a yeti, plus it has a handle which I've actually used & liked a lot more than I thought I would! I love that it has built in options of different ways to drink from it. Since I've gotten it, my water intake has increased tremendously! I have found that since I only use this specific jug for water, that's what I associate with it. When I see it, I'm reminded to take a drink of water. This leaves my other jugs for the other drinks that I like to enjoy, but shouldn't be my only liquid source. Call me crazy, but this system of buying a new water jug just for water has really worked for me.

  • Old Navy basic black purse. My second thing has been this basic black purse that I got from Old Navy not too long ago. I was looking for something neutral as my other purse has pink on it, small enough that it wouldn't get in the way, but big enough that it would fit my essentials: wallet full of giftcards, etc., wristlet, keys, sunglasses, lipstick/chapstick. & it does just that! It's really light & offers way more space than it seems. Overall, a great purchase!

  • wooden jewelry wall hanger/organizer. As I've entered adulthood & have begun having to dress up everyday (grr), I've started to accumulate a good amount of jewelry. I like to wear jewelry most days because it helps me to feel put together & is fun to change things up with different outfits. I would get annoyed in the mornings when I'd be trying to untangle a necklace from a bracelet & I'd be late ... well, more late. I saw this wooden wall organizer & thought I'd try it out & I'm so glad I did! I think it looks really cute & allows me to display my jewelry in a way that it almost looks like decoration. They offer it in a couple different stain colors which allows you to match to your specific style. Thankful I got it so that my room looks cute & I'm not late from untangling jewelry anymore! ... well, less late. ;)

Bethany's loves...

  • Amazon Christmas sweater. I could've just said Christmas for my loves. It's my absolute favorite holiday, so much so, that my family teases me often by calling me Cindy Lou Who lol. After Thanksgiving, I start breaking out my Christmas attire. I love Christmas pajamas, socks, sweaters & sweatshirts. I love it all! Every year, I add a few to my collection. So far my favorite this year is this sweater from Amazon. I was looking for one that was green when I came across it. It is SO soft & cozy! It's a little bit oversized so it looks great with leggings but can be dressed up a bit with jeans too. The back is just solid green but you can still see the pattern on the arms which I love. This is definitely my favorite one so far this year!

  • Spot it Holiday Edition. I love playing Spot it & my mom recently surprised me with the Holiday Edition. I think it's so fun because you can play with just about any age! So far I'm the Grand Champion in the Rice House & no one has been able to beat me!

  • Nutcracker pop-up book. In keeping with my Christmas theme, I thought I'd share one of my favorite Christmas books. We keep a basket full of Christmas books by the tree & even though most of them are designed for younger kids, I still LOVE reading them! I got this book as a gift when I was pretty little, but it's still my favorite! Pop-up books are the best & this one is beautiful!

Avery's loves...

  • Old Navy coat. I was really needing a new winter coat & found this one on Thanksgiving weekend. I'm loving it lately! It's warm & heavy but doesn't weigh you down. It has big pockets that button. I really like the drawstrings on it as they just add some extra detail. Such a great find for such a great price!

  • Infinitipro by Conair curling wand. This wand is my go-to for styling my hair! I use it 2-3 times a week. I like that I can come up with different types of curls. The end has the black stopper so you don't burn your fingers which is a definite plus! It's less than $20 on amazon & is completely worth it!!

  • Disney+. This one pretty much speaks for itself! Are you all loving it as much as we are?? Especially the throw backs to our childhood. LOVE IT!!
