12 things we're loving: November
Last month we came up with the idea that each month, my mom, sisters, & I would each share three things we've been loving. These things might include clothing items, beauty products, etc. We're excited to share what things we're loving this month. Sara's loves...
electric throw blanket. You guys I am ALWAYS cold. My friends & family make fun of me because I even use the seat warmer in my car in the summer! I absolutely love this electric throw blanket so much. I got it as a gift last year & have used it SO much. I even took it to the hospital with me during my recent surgery because I knew I would be freezing during my overnight stay. Why are hospitals always so dang cold??
ugg slippers. These slippers are the best. Since I work from home, I don't always get completely ready every day but I do like having some type of shoe on. These are great for wearing around the house & since they have a thick sole, I can keep them on if I'm just running a quick errand & don't have to get out of the car. They're definitely a splurge but they are such good quality so it's worth it. They would make a great gift this Christmas!
new washer & dryer. We got a new washer & dryer a few weeks ago & it's awesome! Ours was old & the washer was having problems. In fact, it was so loud that Randy heard it one day as he was getting out of his pickup. That's when he put his foot down & said we were getting a new one. (I had been stalling because it's just not a fun thing to spend your money on). However, it's so much fancier & QUIETER than the one we had & it has definitely become something I'm loving lately!
Alli's loves...
grey mesh sneakers. If you've been following along with us for awhile now, you've probably seen me talk about these shoes before, but that's because they're so stinkin' good! They're comfortable & cute & are the shoes I didn't know I needed in my life. Working in a middle school, I'm on my feet a lot running around & doing different things so I need comfortable shoes. These sneakers are the perfect mix between tennis shoes & Steve Madden slip on shoes. They're light & breezy & all around just a wonderful shoe to have as an option. These shoes are less than $30 from Amazon & come in 33 different color options. They do run a little bit snug so I would suggest going up one size. These shoes are "light grey".
facial toner. Last year I had been hearing & seeing a lot about the benefits of using a facial toner & I was curious about what it would do for my skin & if it was really worth it. Facial toner helps remove excess dirt, traces of oil or makeup that your cleanser missed, & can even help prevent acne. & for me, it makes my face the softest I've ever felt it before! I use this Thayers Witch Hazel Facial Toner in the rose petal scent, however my mom prefers the cucumber scent & they also have a lavender scent. At night, I take off my makeup, put a little bit of this toner on a cotton ball, & then finish with my favorite moisturizer. In the mornings, I usually just use this toner, moisturizer & then an under eye brightener before applying my makeup.
grey turtle neck. I have always loved the fall months because of the changing leaves & the crisp weather that comes with it. So when the fall months finally roll around, I get so excited to pull out my warmer clothes! This fall I found this soft grey casual turtle neck on Amazon & I had no idea how often I would wear it, but it has become one of my go-to & favorite pieces to grab. It looks great with leggings & with jeans. I love the little notches that lay in front of each hip because it just adds a little something different. The color I'm wearing is "light grey heather," but they have seven other color options as well.
Bethany's loves...
essential oils diffuser. Every night I have a routine when I go to bed. I put "peace & calming" from Young Living in my diffuser. It smells so good & is so relaxing. I love this diffuser because it has different colored lights so it works well as a nightlight too. It has two different settings for diffusing so I can choose how I want it to come out.
Amazon echo dot. The next thing I do is play sleep sounds on my echo. My current favorite is babbling brook! My sisters tease me all the time that my bedroom is like a spa & one night my dad came down & was teasing me that I was going to have to make room for him because he thought he would be asleep before he could make it out of my room. You have to try it. It's the best!
Amazon booties. I like these booties because they're comfortable & are a great, trendy color that goes with lots of different things.
Avery's loves...
Profusion eyebrow palette. I have very thin & sparse eyebrows. Apparently I always have because it's a running joke in our family to text pictures of me when I was little with a text that says.. eyebrows wya? Thankfully I have figured out how to combat that problem, but when I don't use this people still make comments to me! This is my favorite one I've found because it is a powder, it's very easy to put on & wipe off if you make a mistake, but it still lasts through the day. It is a definite must for me!
Amazon ankle rainboots. Seriously how cute are these?! I really don't need to say much more than that. They are super trendy & I love that they have both black & brown so I can wear them with so many things. I will wear them all winter long as my snowboots too. I think they are pretty comfortable, but I would say they run a little big, which is good for wearing fuzzy socks!
Madewell jeans. I have so many good things to say about these jeans! I bought these jeans on vacation this summer when we stopped by a madewell store that was having a sale. This is my first pair, but I know it won't be my last & I won't even care if they're not on sale. These jeans have a good skinny jean look but they don't limit my movement & aren't suffocating. They're high-waisted which is great for sucking in the gut lol. I think the ripped bottom is super cute no matter what shoes I put with it!
