A Staple Piece: Button-Up Henley

I've posted a couple of these pictures in some other posts in the last week, but this is just such a good piece that it deserves it's own post! So here we go. I got these two button-up henley long sleeve shirts from Aerie last week & I'm truly obsessed. They are SO versatile & are a great transition piece because they're pretty light, airy, & thin. The buttons down the front are functional which I really appreciate! They look good with all different kinds of bottoms & I'll be sharing more below. It comes in light grey & a blue color as well & is currently 25% off making it less than $30!

with jeans...

I would say that overall my style is pretty casual, it's just what I always end up wearing -- jeans & a comfy top for sure fit this vibe. In the far left pic, I paired it with my light wash boyfriend jeans from Old Navy (which are currently 40% off making them just over $20!), some brown birkenstocks & my big sunglasses from Target. The middle & far right pics I'm wearing my favorite Madewell jeans, brown birkenstocks (middle), black sandals (right) & leopard hair scarf (linking a similar option here). Just by changing up a few other pieces it completely changes the outfit -- love that!

comfies...

You guys know I'm all about my comfies. Leggings & joggers are my go-to when I get home from school & want to get out of my jeans or pixie pants. One of the best things about this shirt is that it can so easily be dressed up or down. In the far left pic, I front-tucked the henley into my camo leggings & paired it with my black Adidas tennis shoes. In the middle & far right pics, I paired it with my favorite black Target joggers & brown birkenstocks. Such a fun addition to your comfy (& nice) wardrobe.

with shorts...

Is it just me or is everyone else so ready for warmer weather? I got a little taste of it a couple weekends ago & it was wonderful, but I think it made me want it even more!

Because of how light this shirt is, it works really great with a pair of shorts because you won't be too hot on top. In the far left & far right pics, I paired it with an old pair of soft faded red shorts (linking a similar pair here) with my brown birkenstocks for a casual & comfy, but put together look. This is a pretty typical go-to outfit for me during the spring months. In the middle picture, I stepped it up just a notch by wearing some old distressed black jean shorts (linking a similar pair here), my Steve Madden leopard sandals & my big sunglasses from Target. I love how this shirt looks great front-tucked & left out, too.
