My hair is naturally curly. For years I wanted straight hair, but time & wisdom have taught me to embrace it. I've tried several different combinations of products over the years but I definitely have some favorites that work for me!

My favorite shampoo & conditioner is this Redken curvaceous high foam shampoo & conditioner set. When they revamped this combo to make it high foam it was life changing for me. I like some lather! It is pricey but worth it. My best advice is to stock up when Ulta has their great sales. Usually happens twice a year! You will notice the conditioner says you can leave in or rinse out. Personally, for me rinsing out works better.

After towel drying my hair, I use this wet brush. I know there are different reviews on whether you should brush wet hair or not, but personally this works best for me! I like to start my products with tangle-free hair. My hair is curly enough that it bounces right back!

For me, this combination of the curvaceous ringlet & curvaceous curl refiner is the best mix. I put about a dime size amount in my palm, mix them together & work it throughout my hair. Then let it air dry. I absolutely always finish it off with Kenra hairspray. This works perfect for me! It doesn't dry out my hair or make it crispy plus it blocks the humidity which is important for me to avoid frizz.

Speaking of frizz, if we're traveling somewhere more humid (down south) or dealing with a more humid season here in Kansas, I will add biolage styling gel in with my ringlet & curl refiner.

I don't really use many accessories, but these hair ties are definitely my go-to! They're great for pulling your hair back & help to prevent breakage from your ponytails.

a few things I've been wanting to try...

Target has a hair line by Kristen Ess. Have you tried it? She has a section devoted to just curly hair & I gotta say, I am intrigued? What about a silk pillow case? Do any of you use one? I have heard such good things about how good it is for your hair, but I haven't taken the leap yet. If you use one, will you please chime in? Is it worth the cost?
