A Staple Piece: Soft Denim Light Wash Paper Bag Shorts
This spring I've been on the hunt for some denim shorts! I've tried so many different pairs throughout my adolescent & adult years & have really struggled with finding some that I truly love. I'm very short, but I have bigger thighs & a fairly slim waistline. My curvy stature has made this process really difficult! As I've gotten older, I prefer that my shorts give me full coverage (no under booty views) & that they're not tight around my thighs (I can't stand the feeling of them riding up). I recently found this soft denim light wash paper bag pair from Amazon & y'all, they are gold. You can pair them with TONS of different tops to really switch up the outfit. with a cardigan...
You guys know I love me some leopard so of course I had to find a way to incorporate it in with these shorts! I love how the outfit is just right in between super casual & yet, a little dressed up at the same time.
Also, how stinkin' cute is the little belt!!! It is functional so you can adjust how tight you want it tied. It also comes out so you can either wear the shorts without it completely, or use one of your own belts instead. I just think it's so cute so I left it on for all but one of my photos below!

Everything between these two outfits is the same except the cardigan! Just look at how switching up the outer layer completely changes the whole look of the outfit. To me, both of these options are perfect for spring because of the bright beautiful colors.

Did I hear you ask for more leopard? You got it! Both the top & shorts are from Amazon -- bless up! I shared this top in the middle of fall & I forgot just how cute it is! It's so simple, but adds a lot of sass to an otherwise plain look. The sleeves are in a color block form of black + white stripes & leopard. The t-shirt itself is super soft & fits a smidge oversized, which isn't a big deal for me because I typically lean that direction.

This is most likely the way I will wear these shorts the most while the weather is still transitioning to full-time spring weather. I love my button-up henley & leopard sandals! You just can't go wrong.

Okay, how fun is this outfit?! I wanted to try a look where I dressed up the shorts a bit to see what it would look like & I have to say, I'm here for it. This outfit may not be nice enough to pass for the workplace or office, but how cute would it be for meeting up for brunch with your girls?!

Y'all the price of this top with these bottoms is less than $40. That's an awesome deal! Especially because both of these pieces are so versatile & can be worn with so many different things. Also, wanted to point out that shirts (especially this one) look cute both front tucked & fully tucked into these shorts. Another great perk!

I love heather faded t-shirts so this soft white one from Old Navy that I recently got. It looks great with these shorts & red hair scarf! So fun for spring & summer.

I mentioned earlier in this post that the soft denim belt that comes with the shorts is functional & can come out so I thought I'd try replacing it with one of my own belts to see how it looks. It definitely works, but I personally prefer the look with the belt that goes with the shorts. It's still helpful to see that your options with these shorts are endless!

Last but certainly not least is my personal favorite way to style these shorts! This outfit feels so springy / summery to me & I love it! Two things I love in my outfits: comfort & neutrals with pops of color. I'm a huge neutrals girl, but I love adding in a bright pop of color to my outfits! I feel like it gives it some sass while still keeping the classic neutral & easy look.
