Active Wear

If I have cute work out clothes then maybe it'll make me work out, right? To be determined. But in all honesty, when the weather is nice I love going on walks & spending time outside. Today I'm sharing some cute active wear that you can definitely wear if you're actually working out or just taking a nice walk outside. Or if you're like me & you just like being comfy lol. Especially during quarantine!

Good basic black & white tanks are spring & summer necessities for me. I love pairing them with my black & white striped sports bra & colored shorts or leggings. These tanks are so soft & breathable. They're nice enough that I actually think you could pair them with jeans & a cardigan or use them for layering during the cooler months as well. The tanks come in ten other color sets & are less than $20 for both.

& how fun are these muted purple shorts? They come in TONS of other colors! These shorts do have built in underwear which is kind of nice so that they stay in place. On the other hand, if you find that they're too tight or ride up while you're moving, I've just cut them out carefully with a pair of regular scissors before!

Both my mom & I have been on the hunt for a while now for some new black joggers. We both have the same pair from Old Navy that we loved when we first got them, but they honestly just didn't hold up very well over time (they pilled pretty bad, like bad enough I don't wear them in public). My mom has several other colors from there that have been great, so maybe it was just this color or fabric? Or maybe the fact that we've had them for a few years is the real answer lol.

Anyways, we've tried to find some from Amazon, but haven't found the right fabric & fit that we're looking for. About a month or so ago we ordered this pair from Target. While they still aren't the exact joggers that we're wanting, we did decide to keep them because they're pretty great & they'll definitely work for us while we continue searching!

They're more of a cross between joggers & leggings & sweats. They're pretty thick & have a functional drawstring at the waist like joggers do, but the shape is more that of a legging as they don't completely cuff at the ankle, but they do taper as they go down your leg.

They come in three other colors (charcoal grey, navy heather, & purple heather) & are $25!

& I'm sure you guys have seen me talk about this button-up henley a time or two already so I won't say much besides that I love it & wear it all the time with everything. It's currently 40% off making it less than $25! So far I have it in black & white, but it does come in a couple other color options as well.

I love a basic neutral t-shirt & I also love the look of heathered colors so when I saw this white one, I knew I had to snag it & I'm so glad I did! It's so easy to throw on with a pair of leggings & my grey mesh sneakers & not feel so frumpy dumpy. Plus, it pairs great with this thin grey hoodie! The t-shirt is currently on sale for $12!!

First of all, how cute is my sister?!

Avery loves this black & white striped quarter zip! It looks like it's currently out of stock in most sizes & colors (bummer). But I'll be sure to watch for it coming back in stock. Earlier this spring it was on sale for less than $16!

Here's what Avery had to say about it:

I just think this quarter zip is so cute! I really like the shape of the bottom & how it's not tight. I love the look with leggings, especially so it doesn't look like I'm wearing tight on tight like with some other things! I feel like you can dress it up or down & I think this will work great in the spring too.

I've said it before & I'll say it again: I love basic neutral pieces. I have this top in black & white stripes as well & love it. My picture doesn't show it very well, but it has a really large chunk taken out of the side for the split hem look. I didn't know what I would think of it because I thought it would accentuate a part of my body I'm not super fond of (my hips), but I actually think it's really flattering & slimming. I also branched out of my comfort zone & tried these black & grey camo leggings, again thinking that they'd accentuate a part of my body I'm not super fond of (my legs), but they're wonderful. I also love that they're 7/8 length so they work perfectly for a little shorty like me! An added bonus is the pockets on the outsides of your thigh.
