Prime Finds -- May
I've always loved Amazon prime, but it truly became my best friend this year. It's become my go-to because it's reliable, (most of the time) good quality, quick, easy to send back, etc. Before this year, I mostly used Amazon prime for buying textbooks or other random purchases. This year, I've really stepped it up & discovered that Amazon has just about everything I'll ever need. In case you're new to this whole Amazon prime thing, check out some of the items below that have been great prime finds!
1. bed head small talk
My sister, Bethany's, most favorite hair product is Bed Head's Small Talk. She has naturally curly hair with a very soft texture. Because her hair is so soft, sometimes different products can make her hair crunch which she doesn't like -- she wants it to look pretty natural, but for her curls to be enhanced & the frizz tamed. She's tried other products, but always comes back to this one!
2. door stoppers
We've been leaving our windows open a lot recently, especially in the early morning so we can let the cool air in. To keep our doors from flying shut when there's a big breeze, these door stoppers have been a life safer. Another plus is that they're stackable so they can fit in pretty much any space.
3. black & white pajama set
I've seen lots of bloggers sharing really cute matching pajama sets so I thought I might as well share one of my favorites from Amazon! This matching pajama set is so soft & thin -- perfect for the summer months!
4. ponds makeup remover wipes
I haven't been wearing makeup as often lately, but when I do, I want to be sure that before bed I'm getting it all off. Ponds' makeup remover wipes have been a staple piece in my bathroom forever! They're moisturizing & get all of my makeup off which is so important to me.
5. big water jug
If you've been around here long then you've probably seen me talk about this big water jug because it's THE BEST! It's so easy to carry around, holds a good amount of liquid & keeps whatever I'm drinking ice cold. It comes in a few other colors & sizes as well -- I have the 32 oz. but it looks like they have a 50 oz. option too!
6. egg cooker
My Dad's favorite kitchen gadget is this egg cooker lol I know that sounds goofy, but he loves it. It's so easy to hard boil eggs which is a Rice family favorite. There are other cooking options as well, but we definitely hard boil the most. Last week we made the copy cat Cobb Salad from Chic-Fil-A, so good! This makes it so much easier!
7. vitamin c serum
My Mom had been hearing a lot of really positive reviews about using Vitamin C on your face so she decided to try this product from Amazon & she loves it! She said her face feels so good -- smooth & soft! Plus, it's supposed to help even out your skin tone & help with wrinkles which she's very excited about lol. It's just something that you add to your regular skin care routine & it only takes a few drops so the bottle should last quite awhile.
8. Ray Bans sunglasses dupe
These sunglasses are the best Ray Bans dupes I've ever seen! They're super cute, a great price & are very sturdy considering their price. They come in TONS of other colors & are less than $15! These are the amber frame with a matte finish & the gradient brown lenses.
9. lip scrub
One of my biggest pet peeves is when my lips are dry or cracked. A quirky fact about me is that I have chapstick in pretty much every place you'd need it. I have car chapstick, purse chapstick, nightstand chapstick, backpack chapstick, office chapstick ... there's probably more that I can't think of right now lol. Anyway, this lip scrub / mask has been awesome for exfoliating my lips so that the moisture from my chapstick will sink in & do it's job even better!
10. Nike no show socks
Is there anything worse than when you're out on a walk / run & your sock starts falling down? I'm talkin' first world problems here, people. My family loves these Nike no show socks because they have an extra bit of material on the back of your ankle that helps them to not fall down.
11. wireless headphones
Shall we continue with annoying problems while you're walking or running? Yes, let's. How about when your headphones fall out? I was sick of mine doing just that so I went on a search & found these bluetooth headphones. After bragging to my family about how awesome they were, they all wanted their own pair! They come in several other color options & are so worth the price. This is a great option if you aren't wanting to pull the plug on the more expensive airpods--even though Avery says they are so worth it!
12. trendy round sunglasses
I was looking for some trendy round sunglasses & fell in love with these! So cute, very durable & they even come with their own case & lens cleaning cloth. They come in a few other color options, but I have the gold frames with black lenses & love them!
13. basic quarter zip
I've gotten so much use out of this basic quarter zip this spring! It's very soft, but it's also really lightweight so it doesn't make you hot. It comes in nine other really cute colors & is less than $20! My mom & both sisters have it too!
14. telephone cord ponytails
My Mom bought these telephone cord ponytails just before quarantine & now she only has one because us girls have stolen the other three! It drives me nuts when my hair constantly falls out & these stay in really well. I've also heard that they're non-damaging, but I can't say for sure if I can tell a difference or not.
15. rain jacket
Ever heard of a flattering rain jacket? Me either until I found this one! It has a drawstring around your waist so you can cinch it & it gives the idea of a more flattering figure. Also, you can roll the sleeves & there's a little button on a piece of fabric that comes down that you can clip to the outside of the sleeve. Everything is adjustable & I love that since I'm pretty petite.
We have definitely noticed that our prime deliveries don't get here quite as soon as they used- darn virus! But it's still been our go to. What about you? What have you been priming?
