Let's Look -- Summer Wardrobe

Hi friends! Happy July! Today I'll be sharing all of the things that make up my summer wardrobe! I'm sharing a TON of options. From cutesy more dressed up clothes to loungewear & comfies to accessories. Keep scrolling to see it all!

all dolled up...

I've never been much of a skirt girl, but I saw this one & thought it was darling! The tiered levels mixed with the floral pattern is oh so feminine & just so darn cute! The best part? It's currently $10! I paired it with a plain black tank because there's a lot of pattern on the skirt itself. It would look super cute with a denim jacket as well.

Personal opinion: We can never have enough reminders to be kind to those around us! I'm a t-shirt kind of girl so this outfit is right up my alley. All the way down to the pink birks!

Why do these outfits give me like retro school vibes? Anyone else? The linen pants with a button down linen t-shirt partially tucked in is a bit out of my comfort zone, but after trying it on, I actually love it. & it's SO comfortable that I don't even feel like I'm dressed up which I'm all about.

This button down linen t-shirt is cropped, but since I have a super short torso, it worked great for me to front tuck it.

You'll find me in outfits just like this when school starts up again, no doubt about it! So comfy & cute & effortless. Love it! This thin sweater is currently $10 & comes in two other colors. It runs a bit long which doesn't bother me because I prefer for my tops to cover my rear.

More linen on linen! Mustard is one of my favorite colors & I personally think it's fitting year round -- super cute in summer & in winter too! I like it because it pairs well with browns & blacks which is a good chunk of my wardrobe. I love how easy this outfit is to put together & how effortless it looks. Another great option for school starting in the fall!

Everyone needs a good basic t-shirt dress for the summertime, right? Big fan of this black + white striped one here! It’s a thin material so you won’t be hot, but not too thin that it’s see through. I love the scooped hem on the side — it just adds a little flare that’s fun & flirty!

favorite denim shorts lately…

Denim shorts are always a touchy subject for me because I’ve tried on so many different pairs throughout my adolescent & adult years & have really struggled with finding some that I truly love. I’m very short, but I have bigger thighs & then a fairly slim waistline. My curvy stature has made this process really difficult! As I’ve gotten older, I prefer that my shorts give me full coverage (no under booty views) & that they’re not tight around my thighs (I can’t stand the feeling of them riding up). So far, I’ve found four pairs that are absolutely wonderful in their own different ways & I’ll be sharing them below!

These black denim shorts may be my favorite pair of denim shorts that I’ve ever owned! I love the button fly & that the sides have a little part clipped out. It just gives me some extra room to be comfortable & not even feel like I’m wearing denim shorts! After I got these I wanted them in actual denim colors, but I didn’t love the color options, so I was on the hunt again for some more denim colored ones. I wear the heck out of these & am so glad I have them this summer!

I’ve shared these light wash soft denim shorts before & I’m here to share them again because they’re that good! They’re incredibly soft & pretty stretchy which is everything I was looking for. The belt can come out, but I thought it was super cute tied in a bow like I saw it online. Love how effortless & comfy these are!

I’ve had this shirt for about a year & have gotten SO much use out of it — in the summer with a pair of denim shorts // in the fall with jeans, booties & a cardigan // to work with colored pixie pants & a denim jacket // you name it, this top can work with it!

Yet another great pair of denim shorts right here! I typically go for dark wash in my jeans, but love to mix it up & get light wash in my shorts. Anyone else? These have a little bit more material in the back so they’re longer than in the front which I actually really like. They almost have a “mom jean” feel / look to them. So comfortable & easy to throw on when running out the door!

Such a cute & cozy little lounge set! I love this set because it’s very thin which makes it feel light & airy — perfect for the summer when you get a little bit chilly in your air conditioned house. I got this set in oatmeal & navy stripe, but my Mom got it in rust & cream stripe which is just as cute! The set unfortunately doesn’t come together, so you have to buy each piece separately. That’s actually kind of fun though because it shows you how easy it is to mix & match these pieces with other things you might have in your closet. Looking forward to wearing this all summer long & definitely into the fall too!

Both of the grey bottoms below are the exact same as the oatmeal & navy striped ones pictured above! I loved how comfortable, soft & airy the shorts were so when I saw them in more neutral colors, I knew I had to snag them. Both the black tank & the white tank below are the same as well! So easy to mix & match!

Y’all know I’m all about my comfies, especially during quarantine! I also love stripes, so incorporating them into my outfits by layering them under a long sleeve while the mornings are still a little crisp is a go-to for me.

Who doesn't need multiple pairs of sunglasses? Especially when they're only $5!!! Tortoise is my go-to pattern when it comes to sunnies & I love the almost pink hue that these have. Such a great deal for such cute sunglasses!

Ever since I was itty bitty, I’ve always loved jewelry. As I’ve grown up, I’ve found that my favorite jewelry is dainty & gold. This little initial necklace has been a staple piece of mine since the second I got it. There’s very rarely a day that goes by that I don’t wear it. It’s just so simple & perfect for what I was looking for!

Are ya in need of a good set of bluetooth wireless headphones for working out or walks? I’ve got ya covered! A couple of months ago, I was on the hunt for some because mine were like seven years old & it was just time to retire those bad boys. I found these on Amazon & I was blown away by the price & quality. These new headphones made me realize how junky my old ones really were! So easy to put on & they don’t move at all (& I have super small ears!) which is really great. They come in a bunch of different colors, but I thought this grey & choral color was perfect for summer.
