Prime Finds -- July

I've always loved Amazon prime, but it truly became my best friend this year. It's become my go-to because it's reliable, (most of the time) good quality, quick, easy to send back, etc. Of course, the timely shipping has changed a bit due to Covid-19, but it's still fairly quick compared to other stores! Before this year, I mostly used Amazon prime for buying textbooks or other random purchases. This year, I've really stepped it up & discovered that Amazon has just about everything I'll ever need. In case you're new to this whole Amazon prime thing, check out some of the items below that I've been priming lately.

1. striped clutch bag

Anyone else feel like they've been running around like crazy lately due to summer activities? I sure have! I'm the type of girl who needs to have chapstick, gum, & a drink with me at all times. This darling striped wristlet that my Mom got me for my birthday awhile ago is one of my favorite things ever! So easy to carry around & it fits everything I need including my cellphone, drivers license, debit card & some cash, chapstick / lipstick, my keys & my sunglasses! Mine is size small & it comes in two bigger sizes as well, but the small size has been serving me well.

2. leather ID & card holder

Instead of having my cash & cards floating around in my wristlet (above), I got this little leather ID & card holder. It matched completely PERFECTLY!!! I got it in the color "Crazy Horse Apricot". It has a few different slots of cards, a slot in the middle for cash, & a clear slot on the outside for your drivers license. It is so slim that it takes up hardly any room in my wristlet!

3. yeti cup, lid & straw

I'm pretty picky about my drinks being a specific temperature -- I really don't like when it gets to be luke warm! I'm sure you've all heard of the brand Yeti, which is the brand of this cup, & of course has TONS of other color options. I'm also pretty picky when it comes to how I drink & I just swear that everything tastes better out of a straw lol anyone else!? This lid & straw combo is great because it's sturdy & dishwasher safe & this 20 oz. cup is the perfect size for me!

4. Peter Thomas Roth moisturizer

Okay this Peter Thomas Roth hydrating moisturizer is pretty expensive & I’m not usually willing to do that, however, I got a sample of this one time & I’ve refused to use any other moisturizer since, except The Ordinary's hyaluronic acid drops! It contains hyaluronic acid (sounds scary but no worries) & basically what it does is it takes moisture from the air & continues to moisturize your face throughout the day. Now, I have pretty oily skin so I was very skeptical & thought this wouldn’t work for me. To my surprise, it doesn’t make me oily at all! It is very thin & leaves my face feeling SO soft. I am the biggest fan of this stuff & for me, it is so worth the splurge. I've even hooked both of my sisters & my Mom on this stuff!

5. Schick facial razors

Have y'all heard of dermaplaning? I hadn't until recently & I wasn't too sure what I thought of it. Basically, it's a way to really exfoliate your face by gently scraping off dead skin cells & peach fuzz. Now that I've done it a couple of times, I can tell a HUGE difference in how soft & vibrant my face is! My Mom really loves it too. I use these Schick facial razors from Amazon & they've been great for me!

6. Profusion eyebrow palette

My sister, Avery, got this Profusion eyebrow palette awhile ago & has been hooked ever since! Avery has very thin & sparse eyebrows & she pretty much always has. It's been a running joke in our family to text pictures of her when she was little with a text that says "eyebrows, wya?" lol. She's figured out how to combat that problem, but when she doesn't, people still make comments to her! This eyebrow palette is her favorite one that she's found so far because it's a powder, so it's very easy to put on & wipe off if you make a mistake, but it still lasts throughout the day. & it has a great variety of color options so you can find the perfect shade for you!

7. iPhone charger

Y'all I can't say enough about this phone charger. A few months ago, one of my phone chargers broke (surprise, surprise). I found this one on Amazon & bought it because I knew it would come in sooner than when I could get to the grocery store. When it came in, it was so good that I bought another one just as a back up for my other phone chargers! I got the 10 foot one which is PLENTY of length for me! The chord is super thick so it's not going to break after being bent a certain way too many times. When my family member's phone chargers broke, I insisted that they buy this one & they were so thankful! I got the white color, but it does have a few other options as well as some other lengths & you can even buy them in small bulk!

8. NYX lipgloss

For Christmas, my mom got my sisters & I this NYX lipgloss & we all love it! It’s almost impossible to find a shade of lipgloss that looks good on all three of us, but this one truly does! The color is called ‘Soft Spoken’. It has a matte finish which I usually combat by finishing with a layer of chapstick. This lipgloss is so long lasting too! Another great perk is that its only $6!

9. cat drinking fountain

Any other crazy cat mamas out there?! If so, then I have another question ... do your cats insist on drinking water only from the faucet? My cat will literally dehydrate herself if I don't let her drink from the running faucet while I'm getting ready in the mornings or getting ready for bed at night! I'm kind of sick of it so I got her this cat drinking fountain thinking that maybe she just prefers running water. I'm pretty high maintenance so I guess this is what I get lol. Anyways, she's loved it & rarely, if ever, tries to drink from my running faucet! It comes with a couple of filters & a mat for the bottom. It's very quiet as long as it's full of water! I suppose it could work for a small dog too if this is something they would like.

10. travel jewelry organizer

Jewelry, when it comes to traveling, can be rather annoying. It's no fun when you get to your destination & all of your jewelry is tangled together. I love my travel jewelry organizer because there's a perfect slot for everything & you can either button it or zip it into its place so that it doesn't move around. I got a small & it's a perfect size for me because I don't typically bring a ton of jewelry, but I could definitely pack it in there if I wanted to add more. It comes in a few other sizes & color options as well! This would be a great gift for any girls headed to college! & it serves as a subtle hint that you'd like them to use it to come home to see you. ;)

11. makeup removing cloths

Have y'all heard of these makeup removing cloths? These things are flat magic! Sometimes with makeup removing wipes my skin would really dry out, but with these you just use water & I have not been having that problem at all. I don’t know how they work, but they even take off my water proof mascara! They are big enough that you can get several uses out of them without having to wash them. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever stop using them & my sister, Avery loves them too! The little pads are awesome because they can clean the hard to reach places a little easier like the crevices by your nose or around your eyes.

12. liquid I.V.

If you've been around here for a little while, then you'd know that I'm absolutely hooked on these liquid I.V. hydration multiplier drink packets, & I've even gotten my family hooked on them as well since I've been home! These packets have tons of health benefits including multiplying your hydration & giving you electrolytes & vitamins. Y’all this stuff is legit. Maybe it’s just in my mind, but I honest to goodness feel SO good after drinking this! You’re supposed to put these packets in 16 oz. of water, but the flavoring is a little too strong for me so I put the packet into 32 oz. of water in my favorite water jug. My favorite flavoring packet is lemon lime & it’s delish — you can taste both the sour flavor & a little bit of salty from the lime. They offer a passion fruit flavor & an acai berry flavor for the hydration multiplier packets as well. I honestly feel so good after drinking one of these that I try to drink one packet every single day. Sometimes I accidentally skip it & almost always I'll get a headache! The packets are really easy for on-the-go as you can throw a couple in your bag & pour them into a water bottle whenever you’re ready.

This brand offers a couple other drink packets — one is an energy multiplier (flavor is lemon ginger) & one is for sleep (flavor is blueberry lavender). We tried both of them just for the heck of it & we all had mixed reviews. None of us liked the flavors which was a surprise since we all love the hydration multiplier one in lemon lime. I could definitely tell that I had a huge boost of energy & that overall I slept better (didn’t wake up as much), but had a very hard time getting out of bed in the morning. My sister, Bethany had some weird dreams, my Mom felt like she slept horribly, & my other sister, Avery loved them. I’m definitely going to keep trying them to see if I can really tell a difference or really see an improvement before I decide if I’m going to restock or not. Have you tried either of these?

13. bath mats

How often do you wash your bath mats? It's something that is so easy for me to forget! My family washed theirs during quarantine & when I went to get them out of the washer, two of them were completely shredded! We're still not totally sure why, they must've gotten caught on something in the washer. We needed replacements quickly & due to quarantine, we needed to order them online. Once again, Amazon came in clutch & gave us two great options! My sister got this pastel purple one (left) to match her bathroom & my parents got this dark chocolate brown one (right) to match their bathroom. Both of them look great & fit the space well! & more importantly, they haven't shredded in the washer ... yet. ;)

14. popcorn popper

Speaking of quarantine ... did anyone else watch an excessive amount of movies & eat an excessive amount of popcorn? What happened in quarantine stays in quarantine. Except for this popcorn popper lol. My family is full of popcorn lovers. My dad makes THE BEST homemade popcorn & when his machine broke, he bought this new one & loves it!

15. Fave4Hair air dry cream

& last (for now) is this air dry cream that Avery & I both love! Both of us have wavy hair that tends to have a mind of its own. Both of us also struggle with frizz occasionally & this air dry cream stops it in its tracks. It smells super good & doesn't make our hair greasy or feel weighed down at all. A favorite for sure!
