Old Navy Fall Haul

I recently did a poll on instagram of whether you'd like to see an Old Navy haul, an Amazon haul, or both & the answer was... drumroll please... both lol. I'm really not surprised by this because Old Navy is my one true love, but me & Amazon have kind of had a fling lately. Keep reading to see some of my favorite things from Old Navy this season.

comfy & casual...

I've been on the hunt for awhile now for an olive green puffer vest & a neutral black purse & I found both at Old Navy! This olive green puffer vest is pretty roomy which I actually like because it looks good with just a long sleeve t-shirt, but it would also work with a sweatshirt if you're needing to really bundle up. It's super warm & cozy, but very light at the same time. I'm really happy with it!

I'm also really happy with this black purse. I have a super cute Kate Spade purse, but it's not very neutral (lol it literally has pink on it). I wanted something that could go with everything so I was on a mission to find a black purse that would be big enough to hold my wallet, keys, sunglasses, phone & chapstick. This is the one!

Since my family's hometown colors are red & black, we're always looking for some cute clothes to wear on game days & Old Navy came through!

The picture on the left shows a black ribbed sweater that is a little bit thin, but oh so comfortable. I like that it's thin because when you start layering things, you don't get too toasty. Avery paired it with a red buffalo plaid scarf from Wal-Mart & some darling brown buckle rainboots from Amazon. Doesn't she look so cute & cozy?

The picture on the right shows a red buffalo plaid sweater from Old Navy & when I say it's soooooft, I mean it's soooooft. It looks really cute on its own or paired with a black vest.

I remember being super excited when boyfriend jeans started to become in style because in my eyes: the more comfortable, the better. I got a pair from Abercrombie while I was in high school & I loved them. They've lasted me quite awhile, but all of the distressing & holes isn't so cool when you're trying to be a 'real adult'. I found this pair from Old Navy & I honest to goodness wish they had tons of other colors offered because I would get them all! They have a good stretch to them, but they still hold me in (which is what I like). Pretty much all of my other jeans are dark wash, so this light wash is fun for me to wear when I want to mix things up. In this picture, I'm wearing it with a thick & cozy Old Navy sweater that I have in black & rust because it's just that good.

adult-ish...

As a fresh college graduate, this year is a period of transition where I'm really trying to figure out what my place is now. I spent the last four years living in shorts, leggings, birks or tennis shoes, & oversized t-shirts & sweatshirts. So this whole 'dress for your role' thing is new to me because I'm in a completely new role: adult. The next four outfits are all from Old Navy & show me trying to do just that, be adult-ish.

Just a heads up, for the next few outfits I'm going to show both a mirror picture & then a self-timed picture because the lighting in my apartment isn't awesome so it doesn't show the colors of the pants accurately in the mirror pictures, but my phone's picture quality isn't awesome in the self-timed pictures lol I apologize.

If you've been following along for awhile, you may remember my leopard post where I tried on a pair of leopard jeans from Target & just couldn't commit lol (read Loving Leopard post here). I've seen lots of cute teachers wearing them & thought I might as well try again. I paired these leopard pixies with my favorite thick & cozy Old Navy sweater & camel suede Steve Madden mules. I'm still not sure if I can commit to this busy look, but I definitely like these pixies better than the Target jeans.

Next up are these mustard pixie pants. I was so excited to get these pants because I've seen some of my teacher friends rocking them, however, I don't think I can really pull them off. I have naturally tan skin with olive undertones & in the winter months I start to look kind of green-ish lol (soon I'll be sharing the best sunless tanner I've ever used so stay tuned). I feel like the bright mustard color doesn't look great with my green-ish hues. I do love that it matches perfectly to the leopard hair scarf I got from them a few months ago. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the hair scarf online so if you're interested, you'll have to look in-store.

Just because the winter months may make you feel drab & dreary doesn't mean we have to dress like it! How fun are these bright blue pixies? I love the color & sass that they had to this outfit. I paired them with the same thin black ribbed sweater from the above picture when Avery is wearing the WalMart scarf, my camel suede Steve Madden mules & an ivory tassel necklace. This is such an easy outfit to throw on, but still look put together.

PS - yes that is my assistant, Sophie, laying on the ground in the second picture. It was her snack break, okay?

Last, but not least is my favorite out of all the outfits above. I just love the colors maroon & ivory so when they come together in an outfit & I can wear my favorite shoes? I'm sold! These maroon pixie pants are everything & they look SO cute with this speckled ivory ribbed sweater from Old Navy. This sweater is the same as the black one in the picture above, just a different color. It has tiny little speckles of different colors in it which makes it such a versatile option because it can go with so many different colors of pants. I'm also wearing my newest jewelry find that is this peach stacked bracelet set from Amazon. It is SUCH a steal so you'll have to make sure to check it out! If you see me in this outfit for a week straight, don't judge... I'm just trying to adult.
