Feel Good Friday

TGIF!!! One week closer to Thanksgiving break!

what I've been up to...

My sister was home from K-State for the weekend so after my friend’s baby shower on Saturday, I went to my parents house to hang out for a bit. We watched the K-State game & then drank homemade Starbucks medicine balls & played Skip Bo.

Here’s how to make a homemade Starbucks medicine ball in case you’re interested. My sisters & I LOVE them!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup water

  • 3/4 cup lemonade

  • 1 bag teavana jade citrus mint tea

  • 1 bag teavana peach tranquility tea

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • combine water, lemonade + tea bags

  • microwave until hot (2ish minutes)

  • steep tea bags (2ish minutes)

  • add honey + peppermint extract

  • ENJOY!!!

& I got to spend time playing with my sister’s new kitten! She got all tuckered out & fell asleep while we played cards. She’s too cute!

After church & errands on Sunday, we stopped by Starbucks for a holiday drink. I got the toasted peppermint mocha & it was delicious!

My sister looked so cute reppin’ the Chiefs in her game day gear!

outfits of the week…

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

Friday…

I got to wear a cozy little outfit on Friday since it was a surprise day off from school. I did half a work day in the morning & then went home in the afternoon so that they could fog the building.

Saturday…

I know that I wore this sweater last week, but it’s the only pink I had to wear for my friend’s baby shower!

Sunday…

My little partner in crime wanted to be in my OOTD picture on Sunday!

Monday...

I went through all of my clothes this weekend & realized I had totally forgotten about this Amazon pumpkin tee that I’ve had for a couple of years!! I paired it with my Hey Dudes & my green cardigan from Old Navy (that’s still 40% off??)!

Tuesday...

This colorful sweater is from last spring from Walmart & isn’t in stock anymore, but I’m linking a bunch of other colorful sweaters that I’ve tried before & loved!

Wednesday...

Loving this fall outfit!

Thursday...

Thursday’s outfit in honor of our first middle school basketball games of the season!

in case you missed it...

On Tuesday I shared my monthly book review post. One of the reads made it on my most-loved in 2021 list! You can read my book review post by clicking here.

On Wednesday I shared my family’s menu for Thanksgiving (gotta have my mom’s creamed corn recipe) + a few other things like outfit ideas & family traditions. You can view that post by clicking here.

As you may have seen, I started a new weekly post where I share my Weekly Sale Finds! I’ve been sharing them daily on my Instagram stories & I figured I could compile all of them from the week into one post so that y’all can see them, too! You can click here to read that post.

Y’all know how much I love my job as a middle school counselor, so what better way to spread some of that love than with a giveaway AND a discount code from a super cute Etsy shop called Maple & Hen!!! Use my code MAPLEANDHEN to get 10% off anything in her shop! Obviously my fav is this “oh hey, middle school” tee, but she’s got something for everyone! To enter the giveaway, check out my Instagram — the discount code & giveaway will expire on 11/16!

friday favs...

I thought it would be fun to share some of my all time Amazon favs! These are pieces that I’ve had for years that I just can’t get enough of.

First up is this orange leopard pumpkin tee. I love the different colors in this tee & always get lots of use out of it every year when fall rolls around. I’ve had it for three years & the print on the tee has held up really well. I have it in a small & would say it fits pretty true to size.

Next up is this sherpa mockneck pullover. It is incredibly soft & cozy & fits true to size. The zipper on the chest isn’t functional, but I like the added look that it gives. This pullover comes in other color options as well!

I shared this colorblock sleeve top a couple of years ago & I remember a bunch of you snagging it. The sleeves have a mix of plain white (like the body of the shirt), stripes & leopard — two of my favorite prints! I have it in a small & it fits oversized. The white is not super see-through which I appreciate.

I shared this sweater last year when I got it, but since it’s fall & I’m finally able to wear it, I figured it was a good time to share it again. It’s super light & the knitted material is really comfy. It’s a little bit sheer, but I wouldn’t call it see-through. & I love the open-seam lines!

I also have only had this sweater for one year, but I’ve worn the heck out of it! I stinkin’ LOVE popcorn sweaters & cardigans. I got this one in this red, black & white colorblock pattern since they are my school colors. It’s definitely oversized — I’m wearing a small. It comes in tons of other color options too!

Two Easters ago, my sisters & I all got these quarter zips for ourselves. We said it was an Easter treat since they’re kind of Easter colors lol the inside is seriously the softest fleece material EVER MADE & that’s probably why we all love them so much!! Lots of other color options are available.

This is one of my favorite athleisure pieces. It’s like an athletic turtleneck! It’s super soft & cozy & is thin enough that you won’t get overheated. I love wearing it with a vest & leggings. It is true to size.

Last but certainly not least! If you’re ever in need of a solid color crewneck, this one is great!
