Feel Good Friday

Happy Friday!!! Today is one of the best Fridays of the year because… it’s my birthday! AND I don’t have school today!!

what I've been up to...

Friday was fall lake day at my middle school & my sister got to come hang out with me all day since she didn’t have school!

It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day!!

We had a great time being in charge of the kayaking & canoeing station!

Friday night was senior night so I made these cups & filled them with candy for my two senior cheerleaders!

Super proud of these senior cheerleaders!!

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

This week is Red Ribbon Week so we are having some more fun dress up days to celebrate! Monday’s theme was “our dreams are too big for drugs” & we got to wear pjs! My kind of Monday outfit!!

Tuesday'’s dress up theme for Red Ribbon Week was “we are too bright for bad choices” & we’re wearing neon / bright clothes! My crewneck is actually on sale for 20% off!!!

Wednesday...

Wednesday’s theme for Red Ribbon Week was “good choices are jean-ius”! We are wearing jeans & red tshirts for school spirit!

Thursday...

Thursday’s theme for Red Ribbon Week dress up days was “say “boo” to bad choices”! The kids are wearing their Halloween costumes & a bunch of the staff members made t-shirts that say “you can’t scare me, I’m a teacher / counselor / principal / secretary” etc.! By the way, my cardigan is 20% off today!

Do you have an angry mama microwave cleaner? Just add vinegar + water & heat for 7 minutes. Everything wipes out so easily & it’s less than $10!

The “scrub daddy” & this “pink stuff” are a couple more cleaning must haves for my family. We use them together & it’s like magic!

It’s like the universe knew that I had parent teacher conferences back to back until 8:15 on Tuesday night & would need a pick-me-up! Verb delivery day is the best day! The cooler weather & end of October has me starting to dream about Christmas! Target always has great stuff, but sells out if you don’t buy it early. Here are some of my favorites!

Mini Walmart Clothing Haul

I found this camo cardigan & knew it needed to be mine. Y’all it’s legit as soft & cozy as my barefoot dreams blankets!!! I’ve shared it a couple of times in my stories since I got it last week & multiple people have bought it & are just as obsessed as I am! It comes in other color options, but I loved the muted camo. It’s super cozy for lounging around in leggings.

Or dress it up with booties & a pair of jeans!

Fall dresses like these are straight up my love language. I’m absolutely swooning over this one! I almost didn’t get it because I thought it looked a little too nightgown-ish online, but in person I’m loving it. I’m wearing a small & would say it fits a tad oversized, but I think it’s supposed to because it’s flowy. It’s a very sheer material, but it comes with a black spaghetti strap slip on the inside. The ruching at the waistline & cuffs is super flattering. I love it paired with some basic black booties!

Comfy jeans & a sweater & sneakers is one of my favorite outfits for the fall & winter months! The knitted detailing in this sweater is darling & I love the light grey color. I’m wearing a medium & it fits true to size. The sparkle on the heel of these sneakers totally makes the grey sweater pop!

Another great outfit for those of us who work in a school! These skinny jeans are very comfy & have a tiny bit of distressing around the ankles which is super cute. I paired it with some cognac heels & a mustard waffle knit sweater! The sweater fits oversized, but everything else is true to size. & I couldn’t leave out this “hello fall” coffee mug!

Who doesn’t love a comfy pair of mom jeans? PLUS! A tunic so soft you’ll want to live in it full time! I love this simple outfit.

& now it’s time for the comfies… this fleece set is too cute & cozy! The pieces are sold separately & fit a bit oversized. Super stinkin’ comfy & warm, though!

I grabbed a pair of their black workout joggers & was super pleased! They fit true to size & are silky soft. They have nice pockets & a nice high waistline. I love how the cuff fits at my ankles & that they’re not too big & baggy! I paired it with my favorite crewneck! I am telling you, these are the BEST! They are super affordable & come in tons of color options & a camo print too. I have several as do my mom & sisters! If you get anything from this haul, get the sweatshirt!

The last few weekends have been jam packed, so I’m honestly super looking forward to a weekend chilling at home. I haven’t done laundry in 3+ weeks & that desperately needs to happen & my floors could use a good cleaning as well.
