Reason #500 why working in a middle school is the best: a student asked me today what was so funny. I wasn’t laughing so I was super confused. It took me until the end of the hallway & taking a sip of my drink to figure out what he was talking about & why he was giggling so much…
Middle schoolers & their jokes are the best! Thankful for kids who make me stop what I’m doing & laugh, even on a Monday.

For the past few months or so I’ve started *trying* to consistently share my OOTD (outfit of the day) just for fun! I’m typically able to link most pieces, but I also just share it to hopefully give a bit of inspiration & show you that you can recreate my outfits by just using pieces from your own closet.

friday favs...
I got some satin pillow cases for Christmas & they’ve truly changed my hair game! Even my cheerleaders have complimented it. It has helped me go three + days between washes which is awesome. They even helps keep my hair like it was the day before, way less kinks & funky curls, which means way less time getting ready the next morning!
I’ve seen lots of other bloggers sharing about this Amazon sweater saying that it’s a super similar option to an Aerie sweater I have so you know I had to try it! I wear an XXS in Aerie sweaters, but got this one in a medium & they fit the same. The material is a bit thicker & not quite as soft, but overall, it really is pretty similar & the price is a bit more affordable! It comes in a ton of other color options.
Throw on the cutest Reebok fanny pack from Walmart & you’re ready for a day on-the-go! It’s got a lot of great space & good pockets. Lots of other color options are available, but I’m obsessed with this coral color for spring!
Now it’s time for a skirt & dress try on from Walmart!
First up is this pretty navy floral midi skirt. Just a heads up, midi skirts look more like maxi skirts on me since I’m 4’11” lol but they’re darn cute nonetheless. I got a medium & it fits true to size! This one has pockets which I LOVE! It has a couple of frilled tiers which adds the cutest element. Love it!
How fun is this colorblock skirt?! This one is actually pretty far out of my comfort zone because of the bright colors, but I kinda dig it. & pleats are my fav so this is a winner! I’m wearing a medium & feel like it fits true to size.
This dress is the same color scheme as the skirt I posted above. I am OBSESSED with the frills & tiers on this dress! The cinching at the waist is so flattering. I’m wearing a small & feel like it fits true to size. It comes in a couple of other colors / prints, but I wanted to try to branch out!
This polka dot slip skirt is so darn cute! I put my white bodysuit on underneath just because I don’t typically love wearing spaghetti strap dresses. Speaking of the straps, these are adjustable which is a total plus. I’m wearing a medium & would say it fits mostly true to size! I’m a little curvier & I didn’t feel like it was super flattering on my body type, specifically my hip area where it was kind of baggy / tight in the wrong areas, so that’s why I say “mostly true to size”.
You can’t go wrong with a basic floral dress! Especially one like this that is so comfy & slinky. This is one of those dresses that I feel like I could sleep in because it’s so comfortable! I’m wearing a medium & would say this one actually fits a little oversized.
& of course, saving my favorite for last! This is a darling pleated floral skirt with a subtle slit on the side. The colors are so vibrant that it screams spring!! Wearing a medium & I’d say it fits true to size.
Or try dressing it down a bit with some cute neutral sandals!

I bought my family tickets to a K-State basketball game & it’s this weekend on Saturday! I’m super excited to spend time with my family, especially since it means cheering on the ‘cats!
