Feel Good Friday
As I went to write this post, I realized I just didn't have much to share & as I think back over the last week, I'm not really sure how we spent our time! All of the days are blending together & everything just kind of feels like a blur! We are getting ready to open our sno cone shack next week, so I'm excited to share some things with all of you about that! How are you doing? Hanging in there? Getting weary?
what we've been up to...
Our cat is an indoor cat which she tries her hardest to deny. She used to go crazy & ripped up a lot of furniture when she was younger, so we got her declawed. I will say, after watching her recover, that is something I'll never do again. Not judging you if you've done it! I just hated seeing Soph in so much pain. She still sometimes favors her right paw when she's on cold, hard surfaces. ANYWAY, sorry for the rambling. Soph is obviously incredibly spoiled & so she's been spending some time chirping at birds & nibbling on grass while on her cute little purple harness. Have you ever seen anything cuter!!? If anyone knows of someone looking for a cat model for a calendar, let me know! ;) Lol do I sound crazy, or do I sound crazy?
Last summer a robin built a nest & had some babies in a tree in our backyard. Over the winter, the nest got filled with mud & muck & we were sad because we thought she'd have to find a different place. Lucky for us, she cleared out the old nest & came back this year! The bright blue eggs are my favorite.
friday favs...
A few months ago, I shared these awesome plastic bowls from Target that are SO cheap but such good quality. We recently decided to get some of the plates as well since we've loved the bowls so much. They're so cute & perfect for summer! They wash very well & no staining at all. They also offer cups, but we typically use mason jars. The best part? Both the bowls & the plates are only $0.79 EACH!!
These napkins are old from Pioneer Woman, but I'll link some other options below! My Dad made this tray for the bar in our kitchen as a decorative piece. My Mom has done such a great job with decorating it seasonally. I took this picture right before she switched it out for her summer decor -- I just thought it was so cute!

Last week the girls & I actually decided to get dressed & ready for the day for once so we took a bunch of pictures of some of our favorite clothing items we've gotten recently! So as to not overload you, last week I shared the girls' favorites & today I'll be sharing mine! You can see the girls' favorites here.
I love a great, basic soft crewneck, especially if it's K-State & has the old Willie on it! One of the best parts about where I got this sweatshirt from is that she offers TONS of other options for other colleges, towns, etc. & she even does custom work!

Y'all know I'm all about my comfies, especially during quarantine! I also love stripes, so incorporating them into my outfits by layering them under a long sleeve while the mornings are still a little crisp is a go-to for me.

More comfies! I love this simple twist top because it's so light & can easily be worn with shorts as well.

Sweaters paired with some boyfriend jeans is one of my favorite outfits during early spring & fall months. While I know that we're transitioning into the summer, I still thought they were cute enough to be worth sharing! I've also paired this soft sweater with leggings on a rainy day because it's very light. It's unfortunately sold out, but I'm linking a similar option below!

Now that these darling wedges have been out for awhile, they're finally starting to make them in kid's sizes which is wonderful for me because that's what I wear! Yes, I'm 23. & yes, I have teeny tiny feet. I'm going to link both kid's & women's below in case you have any girls in your life who're needing some trendy shoes as well! Or if you're a weirdy like me & have incredibly disproportionate feet for your body lol. No judgment here!

Last up is this darling bright red splatter skirt. I thought it was perfect for summer & will transition really well into fall by adding a denim jacket & maybe even some black booties.

Throughout quarantine I've been playing around with my hair & trying some new styles. I mean, if it looks horrible, I'm not too worried because I'm not going anywhere lol. Would you be interested in some hair tutorials?
I got these beachy waves by using this three barrel crimper. I got it for Christmas & have gotten SO much use out of it! It definitely takes a little while to get used to & to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's awesome!
