Prime Finds from August
Just like last month, I have a big mix of stuff to share that my family purchased from Amazon during the month of August. It seems like items are getting here much faster than they were in the spring & I am sure thankful for that! The only store the little town I live in has is a grocery store & the closest bigger town is about 40-45 mintues away, so Amazon has been saving me lately!
kenra hairspray
I absolutely always finish off my hair with Kenra hairspray. This works perfect for me! It doesn’t dry out my hair or make it crispy, plus it blocks the humidity which is important for me to avoid frizz.
fuzzy slippers
I ordered these slippers for myself but they were too big. I was SO sad! But my sister, Avery happened to be right there & scooped them up for herself! They have a hard bottom sole like a regular shoe, so she wears them all the time.. including driving home from volleyball practice. I have super small feet, so I am still on the hunt for a pair for myself. These are true to size though.
leopard cardigan
Thick, cozy, leopard. Those are the words that come to mind with this cardigan! Y'all the material is G O O D ! I can see myself grabbing this cardigan while lounging around the house because it's that comfy that I'm always going to want to have it on. It fits a little bit oversized, but I think it's supposed to! I rolled the sleeves, but I have to do that with 99% of the cardigans (& long sleeve tops in general) that I own.
essential oil spray
My sister ordered this essential oil spray off of my amazon wishlist for my classroom. I am a middle school counselor & this spray has been awesome! I will spray it before or after a student comes in & it is so refreshing & takes away any odors that are left behind (unfortunately, that happens with middle schoolers from time to time ;) )! There are several different oils to choose from & I definitely want to add some more. This one is citrus & eucalyptus & it smells so good!
baby clothes
I grabbed this cute green outfit & the Carters set for my cousin's sweet new baby boy. I love how you can find just about anything you need on Amazon!
to-do list
My sister, Avery doesn't love a planner, so she decided to try out this to do list book instead. She feels like she can't ever remember what she has & hasn't done & the big list just feels overwhelming to her. This book has a spot for a checkmark when you are finished & you can just make one list instead of dividing it up per class. Plus there is plenty of room to list items you need to do for different activities or things you need to remember. Avery says she won't go back to a regular planner anytime soon!
black mules
These black mules are such a great dupe! I was super impressed with the quality & how comfortable they are! At $23 they are so worth it! They also come in a cute leopard print too!
clear wall pocket
I ordered this wall pocket for the outside of my classroom door, specifically for students to leave me a note if I am busy or out of my office. It was so easy to install & has worked perfectly!
lark & ro blouse
I’m always on the look out for business casual tops that are comfortable & this one takes the cake! It looks great with jeans if you want to dress it down, but looks darling with a colored pair of pixie pants as well! I love how versatile it is. It has two small pockets on the chest, but they're kind of hard to see because of the pattern. Great quality material & just a tad oversized! The sleeves do have a cuff which I like because they are a little bit long on me, but the cuff makes it so that they don’t fall down.
wrapped silverware
My mom was hosting a senior breakfast on the first day of school. In the middle of a pandemic you have to be careful about everything, so she jumped on amazon on grabbed a package of this silverware that was already wrapped & ready to go!
cole Haan men's shoes
These shoes were a birthday gift for my dad. He absolutely loves them! They are just a little dressier than a regular sneaker but still so comfortable. He does a lot of training events where he has to stand for long periods of time so these work great for that. They look good with regular blue jeans or a khaki jean as well. The overall grey material reminds us of a sneaker, but the brown leather accents give it just a little bit of flare & make the shoe look even nicer. I wish we would've gotten these for him sooner based on how much he loves them & wears them!
ipad case
My school provided me with an iPad (as well as a laptop) for the school year. Before we had students in the building, staff reported to school for about a month. We had different inservices & professional development opportunities held in our auditorium. I don't have a preference on taking notes by hand in a notebook or on a device, so I kind of do both depending on how much writing there is. I wanted to get a case for my iPad that would have a keyboard option to make it very easy to type (the iPad is much smaller than my laptop which makes it really easy to bring with me to meetings or conferences). This one that I found is a little bit pricey, but it is SO worth it! They keyboard connects via bluetooth on your iPad & is magnetic so it is very easy to maneuver it depending on your environment, or you can turn the keyboard "off", fold it behind, & type on the iPad itself. It has been SO nice to have a smaller option to bring with me that can take the place of my laptop. I also love the material (it comes in a few color options, but I went with grey because it goes with everything & will be timeless) & how well it holds my iPad in place. Definitely worth the splurge!
selfie ring light
I had been looking for a selfie ring light to have in my bedroom as it is sometimes pretty dark in there depending on the time of day (I'm renting out a basement apartment right now & my bedroom is under the house's porch so there's not very much natural light that gets in). I ended up sending this back as I didn't feel like it made enough difference to make it worth it. But overall, it did work well & I think when I am settled in my next place I will give it a try again.

chom chom roller
I have no idea why it is called a chom chom roller. But y'all this thing is straight magic!! It removes pet hair like nothing I have ever seen. You just roll it back & forth & it picks it up using friction (I think), then you just dump it out. My cat likes to sleep on my sisters' bed & she has white bedding so it doesn't look awesome covered in dark cat hair, plus it's just kinda gross! This thing is SO worth it!
babydoll tank
I’ve always been a huge fan of babydoll, peplum, & subtle frill tops. I just think they’re pretty flattering for my (& probably any!) body type. I found this tank & love it! It fits just a little bit oversized, but is great quality material. I love the frills at the bottom! Looks super cute on its own or paired with a cardigan or denim jacket. clear plastic bins
My current fridge does not have an ice maker, so I wanted something that I could dump my cubes into instead of having to get them out of the trays every time I need ice. This little clear bin is wonderful & I love that it has a handle on the end -- it slides in & out very nice & is easy to grab!

My sister ordered this book for me off of my amazon wishlist. I am loving all of these "A Little Spot of" books. They are such great conversations starters & I think they work great for kids of all ages!
floral notebooks
I'm always in need of some spiral notebooks & I personally like the smaller ones just because they're more compact & not as bulky when it comes to carrying them around. I'm really picky when it comes to notebooks -- it HAS to have spirals & I don't like for the spacing to be too big. These are perfect & the patterns on the covers are just darling!
woven baskets
If you are really paying attention, you would realize that these were part o f our July amazon post as well! I bought these woven baskets to use to store snacks & coffee stuff in my coffee bar in my office. It came as a set of four so I was able to use the other two at home in my apartment! They are so cute & while the price seems a bit high, it breaks down to be $15.49 each so I was happy with that! They fold flat for easy storage when you aren’t using them, but personally I think I will always have them out somewhere! After seeing them in my space, my siser Avery wanted a set to go in the cubbies under her bed, so she ordered them as well. They look SO cute in her room!
moon over manifest
My mom ordered this book as it was their monthly bookclub book. It is actually junior fiction but she said it was a good one, so I have added it to my list & I am sure you will see it on the book review at some point!
shower drain cover
One of my biggest pet peeves: hair clogging the shower drain. I absolutely despise it & it grosses me the heck out to try to clear it. This slower drain cover prevents that! It prevents the hair from going down the drain & clogging it & it also prevents me getting annoyed / gaggy. A true win-win situation!
oven mitts
My mom needed some new oven mitts & these were amazon's choice. They are simple & cheap & they seem to be working great!
